Welcome Back!
I sincerely hope you had a nice and relaxing X-Mas Vacation. Happy New Year :).
As we look back and reflect on 2014, I am happy to say that it is over. I am certainly looking forward to seeing what 2015 will bring #bringonthenewyear
Reflect on your 2014. What kind of year was it for you? What are you most looking forward to in 2015?
Have a great week and year!
I would say that overall, 2014 was a pretty standard year, but in a good way. My marks stayed the same, I had a good year in swimming, and most things felt very similar. I am still with the same group of friends, and things are going well. I had some good teachers and some less good ones, as to be expected. If 2015 were to be exactly the same, I would be perfectly happy. There is really nothing I would want to change about 2014. I'm not particularly happy to see that it was over, but if things stay the same, as I would want, I won't be sad to see it go either. (The only thing I would change would be the habs winning those two extra rounds and the cup)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I agree about the Habs going further in the playoffs, it was pretty disappointing.
Deleteof course your marks stayed the same. :")
DeletePersonally I find it very hard to reflect on a year as a whole and I strive to not dwell too much on the past. But all in all 2014 was a great year for me. I did a bunch of things I hadn’t and I really challenged myself in all aspects of my life. But with all the good comes inevitably, the bad so there were also some downs in 2014. But, as I said I just want to focus on the good points of 2014 so here they are: for 1 I had an excellent end to cycle 2 and a really successful start to cycle 3. Over the summer my soccer team won our division championships along with other tournaments. I had a great time at camp and I stayed for a whole month for the first time. Plus, I tried some new foods that I never knew I liked and I stayed close with my family and friends. Last but not least I tried to keep a very positive attitude through out the year and that is something I hope to bring with me to 2015. I want 2015 to be a year of new experiences, success and overall fun!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pretty awesome year! I think that it is great that you want to be positive, and it's true, you are! You always have a smile on your face!
Delete2014 was a great year, it was really good to me! I was fortunate enough to take a plane (my first time in 4 years) and fly to Florida for march break! This year I turned 14, I went to go see my very first NBA basketball game and this summer my soccer team won it all for the first time! 2014 was also the year that I made awesome friends that I will always remember! They are the kind of friends that stand by me and like me for me! Also, in 2014 the winter olympics were held in Sochi and not to mention that the Canadian men and women hockey teams won the gold medal! Overall, I really can't complain I enjoyed 2014 but I am excited to see what 2015 has instore for me!
ReplyDeleteThe olympics were definitely a 2014 highlight for me too! Canada did incredibly well in all the events and I personally loved watching the new figure skating team event.
DeleteThe men and women olympic hockey team were amazing i totally agree!!
Delete2014 was a pretty normal year for me. I didn't do anything special. My school year was pretty good and I got really good grades. It’s hard to reflect on an entire year. All in all it was quite normal, and it went by surprisingly quickly. I am definitely looking forward to next year though because a couple of fun things are going to happen. First off I am going to Florida to visit universal studios and watch an NBA game. So that’s pretty exciting, and then after that my family is moving to a new house, which is going to really fun. So while 2014 was just an average year, 2015 is going to be a lot better.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree last year flew by. It felt like only a few days ago, I was watching the ball drop into 2014, and now we are already into 2015 and back in school.
Delete2014 was a year of highs and lows. While I had success in schoolwork and sports, I hit a couple of rough patches along the way. There was a lot of change throughout the year and it was a bit of a bumpy ride. I can adapt to change, but I really want to take a breather this year after a very busy 365 days. I feel as though I was lacking a bit of stability in 2014 and I hope to get into more of a routine this year. That being said, I hope to have an exciting year, hopefully with more travel. Due to a pretty hectic skating schedule, my summer was a bit dull and I hope to do it a bit differently this time. Overall, 2014 was a crazy year that flew by way too quickly, and now that the chance for a fresh start has presented itself, I want to grab that opportunity to take a step back and relax.
ReplyDeleteIts very true that every year has its ups and downs but you made the most of it and set goals for the new year. Relaxing and traveling sound like great things to do in 2014!
DeleteI think that 2014 was a good year for me. The goal that I accomplished in 2014 was winning my water polo playoffs. It was very tough for us because our top player had a concussion and our goalie switched pools. In the end, we put one of our worst players in nets and played as hard as we could; we won 6 to 4. Towards the end of 2014, I started to see an improvement in my grades. I believe that 2015 will be a great year for me. First, I stopped playing soccer; this will give me more free time to do more important things. Second, I started playing basketball again. I believe that my team can win the playoffs. Finally, I will start playing football. Since I have never played this sport before, I think it would be fun.
ReplyDelete2014 was good, but 2015 will be better!
Overall i think that 2014 was a pretty good year and it flew by so fast. Although i admit that my marks were not that high and I was distracted from my work. This year in 2015 will change and im already seeing a huge improvement from my midterm marks. I also moved from bronze medallion to bronze cross which are lifesaving courses at the Pointe claire pool. Whenever im not doing homework im doing that and its so much fun. So hopefully this year will continue to be great!!
ReplyDelete2014 was not a bad year. I mean nothing too exciting happened but nothing bad really happened either. This past year went by so fast and I feel like I did not get to enjoy it that much. In 2014 I went to the best school dance, I had an amazingly fun Halloween with my friends, I finally got my mom an awesome Christmas gift and I had so much fun with my family and friends. So, yes 2014 was a fun year but I really think 2015 will be so much better!!!!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same about 2014!! I agree that the dance was also really fun and halloween was awesome!
DeleteI found 2014 a very crazy year. So many things happened that I found so much fun and hope to never forget but other things I hope I do forget. I really enjoyed my birthday in 2014 because I got to be with friends and family and it was just so much fun. The summer was also really great because it was relaxing and I had fun time in NYC for a week. I also had an amazing time on halloween with my friends and on Christmas with my family. I also enjoyed Christmas because I got a Macbook Pro. I also went through some tough times school included. I hope to have a lot more fun in 2015 like going on cool trips, doing better in school and spending more time with the people I care about.
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool, I love NYC with all the beautiful lights! And wow I'm jealous... I've always wanted a macbook!
DeleteOmg!!! I had an amazing time on Halloween are you like stalking me or something!!! Creep!!! I'm kidding we had so much fun together on Halloween!!!

2014 was an overall great year. Sports were very good, my hockey team so far is doing great, soccer was kinda fun although I'm stopping and I passed all my lifeguard courses even though I'm probably not going to become a lifeguard. I took a break from playing guitar but hopefully I will start again. School was good enough but I can improve. My midterms were good thank god! I got to see parts of europe in 2014 and I hope in 2015 I continue to travel and go new places. All in all, I think that 2015 will have good things in store for me!
ReplyDelete2014 was a good year, but was also very stressful when grade 9 started. At the end of the school year in grade 8, I was doing very well with my grades, and in swimming. I didn't realize what was ahead of me however. After nationals in the summer, i only had a couple weeks left to relax and enjoy the weather. When school started this fall, I was really excited. But with my new swimming schedule, which has 3 more practices a week than last year (4 of them being before school), everything has became a lot more difficult for me, especially math and science. It's hard to focus in class when I'm so tired. And my times aren't really improving in swimming either which is disappointing... i hope the year will get better to be honest! At least I have amazing friends by my side.
ReplyDeleteHaving practices before school! That's crazzyy and so early in the morning, I can hardly wake up for school. I hope you have a good year!
DeleteI think 2014 was a pretty good year. For one the end of sec 2 was beautiful because, well ending any school year is great before a nice long summer. Summer is always a perfect break from school, and last year I spent most of every day with my friends. The start of sec 3 was really hard to adjust. For one classes were a lot harder, and some teachers didn't even seem to care. But as school went on it got easier(ish). Of course winter break was great, and filled with family stuff and time with my friends. In 2015 I'm looking forward to spending time having fun and hopefully having a good year.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that school has gotten a bit easier for you.
DeleteI think 2014 has been a pretty boring year for me. Nothing really incredible happened. I guess it is better than saying that I had a horrible year. I guess the highlight of my year was the summer vacation because I really needed that long break from school. The start of sec.3 was not as bad as I thought it would be. I was expecting a lot more homework and class work. I was expecting mean teachers. In fact, everything was the complete opposite. I'm definitely looking forward to get my braces off in 2015. I'm also very excited to see my favourite band in concert. Hopefully this year for me, won't be as boring as last year (not including this years concert). Other than that, I hope that everyone has a great year.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that we have less homework than I was expecting. Hope you have a good year too!
DeleteI am also seeing my favourite band this year and I can't wait! (One direction)
DeleteI personally think that 2014 was a good year because it was not as stressful as most years because for some reason I have barely lost anything. Usually throughout the year, I will lose something then get super stressed but I don't think that happened at all this year. I also really like my classes this year and I did well on my midterms so that is definitely good! In the next year I am definitely excited for the summer so that I can start sailing again. I am now on the racing team and that means that I will literally be sailing at least 6 days a week for about 8 hours each day. I am also excited to go to Los Angeles with my family. Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteI hope you do not lose many things in 2015 and that your trip goes well. Happy new year.
DeleteI think that 2014 has been a year filled with school, vacations, friends and family. Nothing exceptional or outstanding has happened to me during this past year. School is the same as every other year except for different material being covered. Friends and family are as present and amazing as all other years. Somethings that I have done in 2014 that I enjoyed are visiting my family in Greece during the summer, going to California during spring break with my parents and going to my first hockey game, even thought the Habs lost that game. Things that I look forward to in 2015 are possibly going to London with my mother and possibly going to Greece again with my best friend. Also learning new things and reading more books. I do hope that 2015 brings good things to everyone.
ReplyDeleteThis year has been filled with amazing memories. I have honestly learnt and grown so much this year for the better. I think that every year you grow a lot but this year, i have changed so much since the first day of 2014. My highlights of this year would have to be going to Cuba over march break with my family, making new friends and becoming close with so many amazing people, spending a weekend at my friends cottage during the summer and getting a season pass to LaRonde. I think that this year has been pretty good to me but i am hoping that 2015 is even better.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have had a really fun year!
Delete2014 wasn’t the best year to be honest. I went through a lot of bad phases through my life but other than that it was a great year. I made so many new friends and had a pretty good school year also. In 2015 I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time with my friends and family and getting to know more people and having just an amazing year.
ReplyDelete2014 was a pretty good year for me. There were a few downsides like any year would have, but for the most part it was good. I made lots of new friends in school and I got to make tons of great memories with them! Now that it’s 2015 there are a few things that I would like to change. I know this is typical, but I really need to be more active and I need to keep my grades up. I hope to make lots of new memories with friends and family this year, and I hope it’s a good one!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed 2014 very much it was a fun year for me, lots of laughing with friends, but I felt like it went by really fast. I remember turning 14 like it was yesterday and now i'm already 15! Overall I think it was a pretty normal year not that many special things happen but I got to spend time with my cousins and my whole family which is always great. In 2015 there isn't that many things i'm looking forward to right now because I think it's still too early in the year. I guess can always look forward to another great year just like the last one!
ReplyDeleteTo me 2014 was like any other year I grew up, I made friends and leant a lot of cool stuff. New years don’t really mean anything to me because I look at my life in a whole not split up in years, I do this because if I were to count my life in years it would be too short and life’s about the memories not length. If I were to look forward to something that is happening in 2015 it would be that CHAPPIE is coming out in theaters.
ReplyDeleteI think that I had a pretty good 2014. There were many ups but also some downs. For example, this year I was kicked off my soccer team who I played with for three years. I thought this was terrible at the time but ended up benefiting me. I became a much better player this year, became more determined to try better and met new friends. My summer was probably the best I’ve ever had because I did not really do anything besides hang out with friends, watch Netflix and skateboard a lot. I also got the chance to go to one of the Habs games and even though they lost it was still a great experience. I had a really good year and cannot wait to see what 2015 brings. This year, I am looking forward to the One Direction concert that I’m going to with my friends. I am also looking forward to the summer because it has always been my favourite time of the year.
ReplyDeleteI feel like though the best memory in 2014 for you was meeting me ;) Haha your 2014 seemed super fun! Hope 2015 is also just as well!
DeleteMy 2014 year was a pretty relaxed year. It was a relaxed year for me because all that really happened to me was finish me hockey season, then stress out and study for finals, start and finish my baseball season, while hanging out and having fun with my friends all summer long, and finally started school back and freeze during the Christmas break. So, for 2015 I'm really looking forward to a more exciting year because yes grade 9 is already awesome because of my teachers already, and because I already know that this summer is going to be even more amazing than last year because I'm going to try to do more things this year with friends than I did last year. So, I'm just happy starting this year pretty good so far and I'm looking forward to the rest of it.
ReplyDelete2014 has been such a fun year for me. I got to spend it with my friends and family and also made some really funny memories that I will never forget. For example I made a comeptitive dance team and I didn't get cut from my soccer team when I thought I was going to. In 2015, I'm so excited because I have so many things to look foward to such as the One Direction concert with my friends, and in October I can start going to driving classes and I'm pretty excited for that. But mostly, I'm really looking foward to the memories I make with my family and friends, and some pretty awesome movies coming out.
ReplyDeleteI went to the One Direction concert 2 years ago, it was a blast! You're going to love it! Have fun!!

Personally, the year 2014 wasn't the best year. I mean its not like i had a bad year, it just wasn't a remarkable year. I went through a lot. My grand-father wasn't doing very well health wise, I was injured playing the sport that I loved and was forced to quit and went through months of physio to try and heal my injury. On the other hand, I met new friends and ended 2014 on a positive note with my school work going well. Let's just hope everything goes well in 2015!
ReplyDelete-Elisabeth Laflamme
im glad that we became friends in 2014 bee! I hope 2015 is a better year for you!
DeleteGenerally 2014 was a good year for me but I hope for 2015 to be even better. I made a lot of great friends that I will never forget even though I might have lost some along the way. There was good trips with good people that gave me good memories to keep forever. I did well in school and still remembered to have fun. Rip 2k14
ReplyDeleteI would say that 2014 was an amazing year! I got to do things that I would have never imagined doing! I had the incredible opportunity of going to England by myself to stay with my cousin for a month! This was probably the highlight of 2014 because I got to do so many different things there that I never would have had the opportunity to do elsewhere. I experience a completely different way of living and I met incredible people! In 2014 I made a lot of new friends and I also learnt a lot too. I had an amazing year and I am sad to say that it is over although I am excited to start 2015! For 2015 I would like to try and have an even better year than 2014 and just have fun with friends and family! I would love to go to England again and continue to try new things! I am very grateful for 2014 and ready for 2015!
