I've been on many family trips but family car rides are the ones I remember the most. All the time family car rides are the times where my entire family is stuck together in a small car for many long hot hours. I hate car rides especially when we go camping because there are so many things to pack. I always end up sitting in the worst spot...the MIDDLE!!! That is the worst spot because I have to be in between two annoying people, also I'm a bit closterphobic so the middle is really not fun for me. In long car rides When we drive at night coming back from somewhere I always end up falling asleep. My older sister hates me when I fall asleep because she always blames me for getting the best seat in the car and that I'm so loud because I'm snoring. One trip I had a bad cold and was coughing the entire time. Even though car rides with families can be the most stressful and annoying times they are fun because we know we are either going somewhere fun or going home. Grace
I also hate long car rides and I completely agree that the middle is the absolute worst spot. But your right that they bring you closer together as a family.
My most recent vacation that I've been on was last year my family and I went to Jamaica for three weeks. It was one of the most memorable vacations we've ever been on because when we were there, we met another family from England And turns out that our family and there's had a lot in common so we ended up being good friends. In the other family there was a guy named Brandon and him and I went everywhere together and we laughed every three seconds of the day. We even went kayaking out into the ocean and we also rode jet skis and raced each other a number of times which was really fun. My family and I had a great time on the beach, at the pool and even in the hotel sweet. It was beautiful
One trip that I really enjoyed was when I went to Cuba with my cousins. For Christmas in 2010 my grandmother took my whole family and my cousins to Cayo Cocoa for a week. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, which meant that we could eat all the food we wanted and do any activities that we pleased. We went right before new years so we got to celebrate there as a family with tons of fireworks and parties all around. One day we took a day trip into the heart of Cuba to go see a real town. That was one of the best parts of the trip because we got to talk to real Cubans and see how the authentic Cuba really was. Overall this trip was great because not only was it with my immediate family, my cousins and grandmother were there as well and that made it all the more special.
It was late July 2009 and my family and I took a seven hour drive to New York. I was my first time in New York and it was magical, all the people, places and things to do. What's not to love? Despite the amazingness of the big apple being there wasn't what made my trip so fun and special. My family doesn't do road trips, they are usually drap and boring because we don't know what to do. But this time, oh, this time was different. We played car games like I spy, we jammed out to american radio and I had even made a family feud quiz with riddles! We bonded so much throughout that car ride that it was actually fun. So much so that on our way back we didn't mind leaving!
Like Jeannette, I have many memories of my family and I travelling through the desert. One of my favourite trips that we’ve taken was in 2012 when we flew out to Arizona. When we first arrived at around 1 a.m, we rented a jeep and headed out to the hotel, about an hour or two away. To get there, we had to wonder into the legitimate middle of nowhere, through lands of sand and cactus, underneath the most mesmerizing sky I have ever seen. Away from the city light pollution, the stars came out in display, twinkling brilliantly across the night sky. It was so late, but my family and I stayed awake to watch it from the window of our jeep in a moment of pure awe that I had never experienced before. After the commotion of the airport, it felt as though in that moment, time stopped and nothing else in the world mattered. Sure, in the days that followed we did other fun things like shopping and hiking the Grand Canyon, but for me, that night was the most memorable moment from our trip. To me, it’s these small moments with your family away from home that create the most lasting memories, and I hope to make more as we continue to travel.
One of the most memorable trips I've ever had with my family was when we went on a cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Although there was a lot of travelling involved. First we drove several hours to get to Plattsburgh then we took a plane to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since it was my forst time on a plane, I was a little freaked out but I got through it. After that we stayed in Florida for two days before boarding the ship. It was also my first time on a ship. It was really exciting even though I got a little seasick. After seven days on the water we went back to Florida and stayed there for another two days. Then we went back to Plattsburgh by plane and drove to Montreal. Overall, this was a new experience for me and I loved it. This is one of the trips that I will never forget.
I’m lucky to say that I’ve been on quite a few trips with my family but one of my favorite’s would be when we went on a cruise with my cousins. I had never been on an actual trip with them before, so I remember being really excited about it. One of the best parts was trying to get them to speak english to other people on the boat. All of my relatives are french so they’ve got the really funny french accent. Gabriel (my oldest cousin) only knew how to say bird at the time, so every time we’d ask him a question, he would always answer bird. I always thought this was the funniest thing and I still bug him about it now. All in all I just remember that being a super fun trip, and I would do it again anytime!
My favorite family vacation was definitely when we went to South Carolina. I am extremely lucky and my family owns a time share in Florida so we go there every year, but when my sister and I found out we were going to South Carolina we were super excited. It is about a 2 and a half day trip by car so it was really long. But I didn't mind as we got to see a lot of places on the way there. It was the best family vacations for quite a few reasons. My grandparents came too, we walk to the beach, pool in the backyard, all of it was fantastic.
My favourite family trip I went on was to Cuba last March break. We went with my family, my grandma and my uncle. We went for a week to an inclusive resort. The hotel was beautiful and steps away from the beach. Every morning we all met up at 10 at the breakfast buffet and ate a bunch of food. Then, my sister and I would go get ready for the beach and go. We filled up our water bottles with fresh pineapple juice from the shack on the beach then went to lay in the sun or snorkel in the ocean. Snorkelling is my favourite memory from the whole trip. It was the beautiful thing I have ever seen. There were so many different coloured fish and they were all so friendly and stunning! Some of the fish with really long noses would come up to me and poke me. after swimming, snorkelling and tanning on the beach for hours and hours, we would go to one of the 4 restaurants for lunch. My favourite was the Italian restaurant. After that, we would either swim in the pool or walk around the resort. At about seven, we would eat supper at a fancier restaurant and then go to the snack bar. At the snack bar, we would get ice cream or exotic drinks. We would stay there really late watching whatever show there was at the resort. One night there was a water ballet show and it was really cool. There was always music playing and the atmosphere was really fun and exiting!
My most memorable trip spent with my family was the year we went to Barbados. We spent two weeks at an all inclusive villa, with a private beach and a private pool. Some of my most favorite moments are; snorkeling with turtles, swimming in the coral reefs, gathering shells, and kayaking. We got to see a sea snake, and a certain rare species of shark. I spent this vacation with my family and grandparents, it was amazing. I will never forget it.
My favorite family trip so far had to be the last one we went on. My family trips tend to get better and better as my sister and I grow up, and this one had to have been the best. My family and I took a plane to LasVegas, from there we stayed at a huge hotel called the MGM Grand. The hotel had to have been the best part, during the day my family would spend the whole day lying by the pool tanning, or walking down the strip. At night, my parents would go to the casino, while my sister and I explored the whole hotel. There was a free 24-7 buffet in one of the lounges, and also so many activities to do, and A LOT of candy. After a few days in Vegas, We rented a convertible, and drove to LA. There we met our close family friends, and spent about 3 days shopping with them. Beverly Hills, is as great as it seems. We then drove back to LasVegas and took a plane from there back home.
One of my best memories of a family trip was when I was 9. My family and I went to Cuba and it was one of my first trips outside of the US and Canada. I was so excited and the weather was beautiful. The pool was always warm and the ocean too which made it really easy to walk into without freezing to death. My dad and I also went horse back riding. We would each get our own horse and freely ride it on the beaches and through the villages and it was so fun and beautiful. We also went snorkeling. A boat took us far into the ocean and we jumped in and snorkeled. There were so many amazing fish everywhere, different sizes and colours. We mostly stayed at the resort on the beach laying in the sun and talking. And these ladies were walking on the beach offering to braid our hair. I got my hair braided with cool looking beads. We also would go looking for coconuts and then we would bring it to this snack bar on the beach and they would poke a whole and we would drink it. One day we even rented a boat and went far into the ocean exploring. It was so fun getting closer to my family and having a lot of fun.
I remember when i was in the third grade, i took a trip with my family to the golden state, California. To this day, i still remember landing in Los Angeles, and seeing huge pink columns that were lit up with led lights and huge with letters spelling out "LAX" for los angeles international airport. That night we rebted a car and headed to our hotel. The next day we drove to hollywood and got lost trying to get go to the hollywood sign. We spent about an hour driving around before finally getting to it. We then drove to the hollywood hall of fame and saw all of the "hollywood stars". i remember that night we went to an amazing asian restaurant and it was so cheap. The next day we drove to San Diego and went to go see my cousins who live there. Throught the next couple days, we went to Disney Land, beaches, a water park, a flea market, learnt how to surf and even tried fish tacos (they weren't as gross as they sound). At the end of our vacation, we drove to palm springs and went hiking. Overall it was one of my favourite family trips and i cannot wait to return.
One trip that I did with my family, is when we went to Turks and Caicos. It was in an all exclusive resort and it was insanely fun. The food was delicious and there so many fun things such as a surf simulator. I also got to go para-sailing. I honestly think I gained a couple of pounds that week. It was sunny all week and the beach and ocean was amazing. The best part of the trip was when we rented two small catamarans for the day. We decided to do a race. The two crews were my dad and I againt my mom, my sister and my brother. Lets just say my dad is not the best sailor. He kinda fell of the boat twice. But we still won! It felt so cool to be sailing while feeling the big waves pushing you upwards. The smell of the sea and the warm water splashing my face felt so cool .
One trip that I went on with my family was I went to Paris this past November. We went for five days. We went to a really cool hotel that was near a metro station which is how we got around Paris. The food was my favourite part as I really like good food. There were restaurants with food from every corner of the world. Touring around Paris was also really cool especially the Eiffel tower. When you are up there it is an amazing feeling. Other things we did included going to the Louvre, walking the champs d'Elysees and we went on bateaux mouche on the river Seine. It was a really fun trip.
Throughout my life I've been on a bunch of trips for example, the Bahamas (Paradise Island), Niagara Falls, Wisconsin, Newfoundland, and a bunch more the best trip I have done in my life, for now, is when I made the move from Chicago to Montreal. I remember I was 8 at the time and it was hard because I was leaving everyone I knew and that it may be really hard to find new friends. The places that I knew, and know, that I will miss most is the Chicago aquarium because I loved going there and I wish I could go every week because it was so much fun especially the when I would go to the part of the aquarium where I was able to touch the jellyfish, shrimp, sea urchins, dolphins, etc... Another place that I will always miss is the Arboretum because I used to go to a camp there every weekend where I would have so much fun, especially since my best friend was with me in the camp, but the best part about the place was the maze because out of all my friends that where in my group I was the only one that was able to memorize the whole entire hedge maze by heart. Now I'm here in Montreal and I don't plan on moving back any time soon because now I'm happy where I am and I have plenty of friends that I am super close to. Never the less I wouldn't mind going back there for a month or so for a trip because it's just such a beautiful cit to see and be in.
Ever since I was young, every year my family has gone on vacation. Now that I look back on all these amazing adventures we had, I don’t remember the times on the beach but the road trip we had. One that I fondly remember is my trip to Florida. My family and I decided to drive there. It was a 24 hour ride; we took one car. One thing that I could not forget was that we stopped every hour to stretch and if we needed, to go to the bathroom. Once we even stopped somewhere to sleep. At first, it was terrible being that close to my brother and sister but we eventually started to play games like “I Spy” and “License Plate Game”. The time passed very quickly and we had a lot of fun. I remember these moments more than I remember the rest of the trip.
My family and I go to Florida often in the winter. We usually drive there which takes about 2 days. I always get excited for the road trip, but just want to jump out of the car by the time we actually start driving. Every year, it seems that something happens. For example, one year I ran into a door and broke my nose there and once it was freezing so we pretty much wore jackets the whole time and at times were even able to see our breath at night. Two years ago we went and had a fun activity planned. We went to see the Habs vs Panthers game that they always have during winter break in Florida. It’s an amazing atmosphere because almost everyone in the crowd is from Montreal. That year, I got to sit in a box with all of my cousins, aunts and uncles. We had our own lounge area, cool seats and food served. Although we lost, it was still the most fun hockey game I had ever been to.
Since i was born I've been to Florida every second year, my mom owns a condo in fort lauderdale and we go to check up on it or fix it up or just relax on vacation. the last time I went to Florida I went with my cousins and we also visited to Miami, it was gorgeous. We also have family there so i'd go over to their house and go to the beach which was near by. Im grateful to always have somewhere to when I'm there. My condo is also near the beach, about a 1 minute walk. so everyday i would go and swim and tan or try at least. i miss it very much and cant wait to go back.
My favourite family trip had to be the first time we went to Lake George. My mom drove us down there for a couple of days. Even though the trip was short we were able to get a bunch of things done. We went horseback riding, jet skiing, shopping and so many more fun activities. Our days were long and filled with activities. It was so much fun!
I’ve actually been on so many trips with my family its crazy! One of the best trips I’ve been on is when I went to London, Ontario to visit a University that my brother got invited to go see. The car ride from Montreal to London is 8 hours, so I thought it was going to be a long boring car ride all stuffed in the back with my siblings but it ended up being really fun. My brother and I stayed in a hotel room together so that was really fun and gave us some time to have brother and sister bonding. Also the university was really awesome to visit and I hope to go there one day.
My family and I recently went on a very big trip. We went to Malaysia, it was a great adventure. We took a plane from Montreal to Amsterdam. That plane ride was six hours long. We stayed in Amsterdam for 12 hours it was very nice and I had a lot of fun. Then we took a plane from Amsterdam to Malaysia that plane ride was 12 hours long it was a very boring plane ride. Once we got there my dad’s cousin came to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. It was so hot there and it was pouring rain for ¾ of the car ride. I had a lot of fun especially going shopping for the Indian clothing I had to wear at the wedding ceremony. When the wedding day came I got all dressed up and I even got to walk in to the temple with the bride! On the way back we took a plane from Malaysia to Amsterdam and then Amsterdam to Paris and Paris to Montreal. I was sad to leave but really happy to be back home!
I love spending time with my family so one of my favourite things is going on family vacations with them! We have been very lucky and we have went on many family vacations! My favourite one has to be when my family and I went to to Disney world for March break on my 13th birthday! We stayed at a beautiful place and we always had fun things to do! I loved Disney world but I think being with my family made it even better! I also love all inclusive vacations because I find them extremely relaxing! One year I went on one with all my cousin, my grandparent and my aunts and uncles! That vacation was so fun and exciting! I have been to many places around the world and I have experienced it all with my family and I am so thankful for that! My family can really get in my nerves but they are really fun to be with and I wouldn't want to go anywhere with out them! This March break my family and I are going to Jamaica and for the first time we're going with family friends so I think that will be a lot of fun!
I have been on so many trips with my family. Almost every year we go to Florida since we have a condo there. We usually drive down so that we have a car while their. So it's a 24 hour drive so we take two days to do go down. A long time ago when my brothers and I were young, my parents did everything to keep us entertained. For example, my parents had a box and there were bunch of present for my brothers and I whenever we were good. My mom would blast music and my brothers and I would sing as loud as we can to get some candy or another prize. We would just have so much fun and it never felt like two long days of driving. It felt like 30 minutes of driving because we would have so much fun
Probably my favorite trip was the one to Florida with my family. We took a plane to get there and it was a little tough because my mom isn't good with flights and ended up in a wheelchair for the next 3 weeks but it was great because we still made the most of it. We went to disney and to half of Universal Studios! It sucked to have my mom handicapped but it did get us through a lot of lines;) It was also my birthday during the trip, so it was super cool to have it celebrated at Planet Hollywood! I was 11 years old, turning 12,so I was still afraid of roller coasters, and this is why I want to go to Universal Studios now more than ever! Although I was pretty courageous, I missed out on some of the best rides like: "The Hulk, and The Rip Ride Rocket"! I'd love to go there again with my family once we find a way to get my mom to ride planes.
My favourite family trip was when I went to Florida with my cousins for the first time. It was so much fun. We spent all day and all night with each other. We all had such an amazing time. We are all around the same age so we got along really well. We went out to eat, went to the mall, the beach, etc. We basically went everywhere together. The best part of that trip, was going to the beach with them. I remember the day. It was a hot sunny day. Blue skies, beautiful clouds. A perfect day at the beach. The waves started to increase in height with every second that passed by. It might have been a little scary because we were so small, but we didn't let the height scare us, we jumped through them and over them. We even tried to go over them with the body board. We laughed so hard at all our facial expressions when the wave hit us. We had a blast.
In 2012 my family went on a trip to Italy for four weeks. We traveled across Italy living with family and staying in monasteries. We visited Como, Rome, Siena, Venice, Florence, Coati and I think more but my memory is terrible. It was so much fun I spent the time making friendships with my cousins and eating a lot of gelato.
Last year, my family went up to LA to visit my cousins. We visited Las Vegas, Malibu, San diego and a bunch of different beaches as well. It was probably the most fun vacation I have ever been on. It was very hot outside, and there were very big waves in the ocean which were great for surfing. A good memory I have from this trip was when we went to go see a 2 hour long magic show in a casino in the heart of Las Vegas. It was so amazing to see all the different tricks, and out of the audience, I even got picked to be a volunteer to disappear! It was awesome, and I still don't know how he did it.
This past summer I went on a Mediterranean European cruise with my family. We went to a total of 4 countries: Italy, Spain,Greece, and Turkey. Most of our trip was spent in Italy though. The ship was almost like a floating city. It was enormous. But even with the size, I still got a bit nauseous some times when I looked out at the water or was on tge boat all day. Overall it was an amazing trip spent with family and I hope to do it again soon.
I have been on many family trips during my life but a family trip that I really remember and enjoyed would definitely have to be the time we went to Cuba. I really enjoyed the time we spent on the beach and all the food we ate. My little twin brothers were there also and that is where my mother recorded a video of them falling asleep while eating at it god over 1 million views on youtube. Overall I has a great time at Cuba and I would definitely want to go again.
My family and I have gone on many trips during my life, but a family trip that I really enjoyed and remember would probably be on my second trip to Greece. My family and I went to Greece for two weeks, we were staying at my grandmothers apartment in a little town named Pylos. During the two weeks, we visited exquisite beaches and beautiful towns filled with nice people. We met up with my orthodontist and spent a few days with them and their kids on the beach having fun. This was a great trip and I am excited to go visit this summer as well.

DeleteI find that the middle is the best seat, less cramped and you get to look out the front window and see everything thats going on.

ReplyDeleteOne of my best memories of a family trip was when I was 9.
ReplyDeleteI remember when i was in the third grade, i took a trip with my family to the golden state, California.
ReplyDeleteOne trip that I did with my family, is when we went to Turks and Caicos.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so fun and cool!
DeleteThat sounds like so much fun! It must've been really funny to watch your dad fall off the boat twice.
DeleteOne trip that I went on with my family was I went to Paris this past November.
ReplyDeleteThroughout my life I've been on a bunch of trips for example, the Bahamas (Paradise Island), Niagara Falls, Wisconsin, Newfoundland, and a bunch more the best trip I have done in my life, for now, is when I made the move from Chicago to Montreal.
ReplyDeleteEver since I was young, every year my family has gone on vacation.
ReplyDeleteGood job Tylar.
Deleteglad you had a fun time in your car!
DeleteMy family and I go to Florida often in the winter.
ReplyDeleteSince i was born I've been to Florida every second year, my mom owns a condo in fort lauderdale and we go to check up on it or fix it up or just relax on vacation. the last time I went to Florida I went with my cousins and we also visited to Miami, it was gorgeous. We also have family there so i'd go over to their house and go to the beach which was near by. Im grateful to always have somewhere to when I'm there. My condo is also near the beach, about a 1 minute walk. so everyday i would go and swim and tan or try at least. i miss it very much and cant wait to go back.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite family trip had to be the first time we went to Lake George. My mom drove us down there for a couple of days. Even though the trip was short we were able to get a bunch of things done. We went horseback riding, jet skiing, shopping and so many more fun activities. Our days were long and filled with activities. It was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun!
DeleteI’ve actually been on so many trips with my family its crazy!
ReplyDeleteMy family and I recently went on a very big trip.
ReplyDeleteI love spending time with my family so one of my favourite things is going on family vacations with them!
ReplyDeleteI have been on so many trips with my family.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such a fun time before your trip even begins!
DeleteProbably my favorite trip was the one to Florida with my family.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite family trip was when I went to Florida with my cousins for the first time.
ReplyDeleteI love florida it is so nice! I go there a lot too:) It's really cool how you surf, I have always wanted to learn how.
DeleteIn 2012 my family went on a trip to Italy for four weeks. We traveled across Italy living with family and staying in monasteries. We visited Como, Rome, Siena, Venice, Florence, Coati and I think more but my memory is terrible. It was so much fun I spent the time making friendships with my cousins and eating a lot of gelato.
ReplyDeleteLast year, my family went up to LA to visit my cousins.
ReplyDeleteThis past summer I went on a Mediterranean European cruise with my family.
ReplyDeleteI have been on many family trips during my life but a family trip that I really remember and enjoyed would definitely have to be the time we went to Cuba. I really enjoyed the time we spent on the beach and all the food we ate. My little twin brothers were there also and that is where my mother recorded a video of them falling asleep while eating at it god over 1 million views on youtube. Overall I has a great time at Cuba and I would definitely want to go again.
ReplyDeleteMy family and I have gone on many trips during my life, but a family trip that I really enjoyed and remember would probably be on my second trip to Greece.
