  1. Last, year is the only march break I can remember so I will write about that. We went to Jay Peak to spend the week at our cabin and go to the indoor water park. Our cousins came with us and we had an amazing dinner that night. The next day we all went to the water park. I love indoor water parks I've been to Great Escape Lodge so many times before and Jay Peak a couple times. Because we had been on ever ride at Great Escape Lodge we decided to go somewhere we hadn't been that much. The indoor water parks are the best because you walk in in your cold snowsuit and enter into a warm place in your bathing suit. At Jay Peak they had so many different activities to do. There was a rock climbing wall, a lazy river, a surfing thing, and so many water slides. There was even one water slide where you stand straight and it drops you then you do a full loop. Sadly I spent so long waiting in line just to be kicked out because I wasn't heavy enough. You had to be a certain weight to be able to make the loop without getting stuck. My sister and my dad did the ride but I had to watch them. The entire trip was a lot of fun being with my family, and the water slides and we spent some time outside skiing and snowboarding and just hanging out. Overall, we didn't go on some huge vacation but we had so much fun anyways. (:

  2. In general, my family tends to prefer to relax over march break, but we broke that rule one spring break in 2005. About a week before the break, my parents surprised my brother and I with the exciting news that we were going to Disneyworld! I remember barely sleeping the whole week from anticipation and hardly containing my excitement at school. When the morning we were set to leave finally came, I was ecstatic despite the fact that we had to get up for 4 a.m. When we first arrived, I was instantly overjoyed by the Florida sun melting away all my Canadian winter blues and immediately after checking into our resort, we hopped on a bus and arrived at the most magical place in the world, Disneyworld. The whole week we were there I was on cloud 9 as we rode all the rides including my favourite, Expedition Everest, ate lots of deliciously unhealthy food, and of course, met all the classic Disney characters. The peak of the trip though would have to be meeting Ariel the little mermaid, where she told me that with our red hair, we looked like sisters. I will never forget the smile that spread all across my face and to this day, I still have the hat that she autographed for me. Overall, this was a magical trip and truly was the best march break ever.

  3. Since before I can remember my family has always gone to Florida once a year. My grandmother owns a condo in St Petersburg and we like to spend spring break there. I have so many great memories of amusement parks, walks along the beach and even going to see a baseball game. But my favorite memory would have to be 2 years ago when we surprised our cousins. They are a relatively large family, with 4 kids all under 13 years old, so they don’t travel much. My grandmother had known that they would be going for March break but we told them that we weren’t going that year. They were all so excited when we popped up to their hotel room and surprised them. But that’s not even the best part! On the flight over some crazy 20 something year old girl, (very likely drunk) decided to sprint down the aisle of the plane just as we where about to touch the ground. She refused to return to her seat so the captain had to call security and when they arrived she took off sprinting to the airport. My uncle (who was there to pick us up) swore he saw that same girl being chased by security through the airport!

  4. I honestly can't remember any spring breaks I ever had. But I know that I would usually relax and spend it with my family and friends. Plus sometimes I would go and visit my cousins in Toronto and if I can remember correctly, I went to visit them during spring break back in 2013. We all went to Canada's Wonderland for the first time and it was pretty fun. Even though I didnt go on that many roller coasters, I kept going on the rocking boat ride which was my favorite. That day was really fun and memorable because I dont get to see my cousins that often. Hopefully this spring break I can go to visit them again.

  5. My best spring break story was probably the road trip I took with my friend in grade six. It was by no means a long road trip only about 4-5 hours to vermont in the states but it was really fun. I remember waking up really early in the morning and setting off to my friends house to meet him at a tim hortons near the border to stop and have some breakfast. When we arrived at the hotel we immediately wanted to go in the indoor pool because there was also a water park in there as well, which looked like lots of fun. We were there for about half the day and then we went to an olive garden to eat supper and I ordered the amazing endless pasta bowl because….well, it literally was endless. By the end of the night all I wanted to do was take a nap because i was so stuffed with food. It was a great trip, I hope to do something like that again someday.

  6. I love March Break, a hole week of relaxing and serenity and the thought of school staying far from your mind. My family usually doesn’t go away for March Break but last year we went to Florida and that was AMAZING! We got the news as a present for Christmas and I had been counting down ever since. I got to get up in the wee hours of the morning and go to the airport, the feeling of excitement was crowding the plane as it took off. We finally landed and the hot air was so comforting that I just wanted to cry with joy. We checked in to our hotel and headed up to our room. When we got there we realised that there was a problem with it. The janitors couldn’t fix it so we got upgraded to a suite. It was sweet (excuse the pun). The room had a fantastic ocean view and it was 3 times as big as what we originally had. When it was finally time to leave I was so sad, I was going to miss the amazing weather, beautiful palm trees not to mention the amazing the ocean! As much as I was sad, a little part of me was secretly excited to go back home to all the snow, I guess what they say is true, home is where the heart is.

  7. My favorite spring break memory is a few years ago when my family and I went to Stowe in Vermont. We only went for 3 days but I remember it being super fun. One of the best things we did was go snowshoeing all the way up the mountain. I had snowshoed before in Vancouver, but I remember this time in particular because the view at the top was beautiful. It took a while to get up, and by the time we did I was absolutely exhausted, but it was definitely all worth it! Not only was there a beautiful view, but there was also a little house that had hot cocoa and snacks. So naturally, we grabbed a bite to eat before heading back down. Another really fun thing we did was go to this really good mexican restaurant where they made your tacos and guacamole right in front of you!

  8. My spring breaks consist of skiing in Mont Tremblant, and eating as many beaver tales as possible. I'd have to say that my best spring break had to have been 2 years ago. My family and I had planned to go to Mont Tremblant for a week to relax and go skiing, skating, tubing and everything you could possibly think of. We soon found out that our cousins planned a trip to Mont Tremblant also. We were so excited. They switched hotels to the same one as ours, and we stayed 2 doors down from each other. I remember one night we stayed up till 4 o'clock at their hotel room just chilling and talking all night. It was so much fun the next day we went skiing. My cousins wanted to take the gondola down, and my sister and I thought it would be fun to ski down. As my sister and I were going down, I accidentally fell butt-up and I could hear my cousins laugh from the gondola. We have so many memories from that trip, and it had to have been the most fun.

  9. One really fun memory I have of spring break was back in 2008 when my family and I went to Quebec city for their winterfest. 2008 also happened to be the 400th anniversary of Quebec city which meant that the festivities were better than ever. We stayed in the Chateau Frontenac which is a really nice hotel with a beautiful view of the city. For activities, we went to different skating rinks around the city, we went to an ice hotel and went tubing at valcartier. Overall it was a pretty cool trip.

  10. My best spring break memory is probably last years when my family went to visit my cousins and grandparents in Ontario. We stayed there for the whole week and just hung out. My cousins and I are around the same age and we get along really well. We went exploring in the woods and around the land (they live in the middle of nowhere). We went shouting with BB guns and played hid and seek tag in the dark outside at night. It was a lot of fun.

  11. My favourite spring break was when i went to Cuba with my family and family friends. The week before march break in 2013 and we decided to buy toys for the kids in Cuba before we leave. When we arrived we went horseback riding around the towns nearby and every kid we saw we gave toys to and the smiles on their faces brought me to tears of joy. Then after the horses travelled to the beach and it was a view I've never seen before. Cuba was one experience I would never forget. I tried so many new things there and I wouldn't change a thing.

  12. My most memorable spring break was the year that my family and I took a cruise to Hawaii. The whole trip was magical. We spent the week visiting several islands, swimming, going to beaches, surfing, paddle boarding, hiking, climbing waterfalls, and that's just some of the things we did during our vacation. On the cruse ship I spent most of my time zip lining, swimming, going to the ice cream bar, eating and sleeping. It was a relaxing, and enjoyable vacation.

  13. My best spring break memory is when I went to jamaica with my family. It was extremely fun and the most memorable part for me was the plane ride. I love plane rides when I am going on a trip because either I am super excited about the vacation or I am relaxing and thinking about going to sleep in my bed. The jamaica vacation was awesome because it was the first time I was in an all-inclusive resort. I still remember realizing the second day, that I did not have to pay for anything. Obviously, I was a lot younger at that time. I also remember lying down on the beach and just relaxing. I think that was the first time of my life that I spent an afternoon doing nothing but watching the sea. It was the best!

  14. My absolute favorite spring break memory is last year when I went to Holguin, Cuba. I had already been to the resort before and that was the best part. The resort was all-inclusive which means we could eat as much as we want. Since we had been there before, we had made friends with the employees. One in peticular that my whole family loved was a girl named Maria. Everyday my family would meet at the breakfast buffet. The food wasn't great, but the weather was so beautiful that I hardly noticed. After breakfast, we would go to the beach or lie by the pool. At the beach I would go snorkling and see the beautiful and colorful fish. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen in my whole life. After hours of that, I would go get lunch at the italian restaurant. The food there was heaven compared to the other food. We would spend the rest of the day at the beach, tanning, snorkling, and swimming. By the end of the day, I would be completely burnt and aching but it was all worth it!

  15. My favourite spring break memory is from 2011 when i went to europe with my family and stayed with my dad’s friend’s family. We first landed in germany and then had to take another plane to Lugano, Switzerland. When we landed it was early in the morning in swiss time but in canadian time it was 2 o’clock in the morning and I remember being so tired I could hardly walk through the airport security. For the most part of the trip, we stayed at my dad’s friend’s apartment. Our families had a lot of fun together since all the kids were the same age. We went to a chocolate factory with them and I remember how good all the chocolate over there was. We also went hiking in the alps and went shopping. The last couple days of our trip, we took the train to Italy and visited a couple places including Florence, Rome, Pisa and Venice. The last two days, we went skiing in the Italian alps. It was one of the scariest, yet exhilarating experiences i’ve ever had in my life. The entire trip was so amazing and I will always remember it.

  16. My best spring break memory would definitely be the time when my family and I went to Calgary, I had a really fun time while I was there I met up with some family and friends and we saw all the tourist destinations and had a really great time. My favorite part was able to visit my Dads store at West Edmonton Mall and right after being able to ride all the Roller Coasters and all the Water Slides at the mall. Overall I had a great time and I would really wanna do it again.

  17. My favorite spring break memory i have, is when i went to Italy. I went with my mom and my brother. My favorite part about the whole trip was eating ice cream and pizza. Every night we would walk down the water after a good nice meal at the pizza shop and then head towards the ice cream place. My favorite pizza flavor was margarita and vanilla ice cream. Sadly after two weeks i had to go home but it was such a fun trip.

  18. One of the best March breaks that I have had was probably last year. I went to NYC with my family and even though it was extremely freezing cold, it was still a lot of fun. We did and went to so many different things and they were all so fun and amazing. We went to the hershey and m&m store and we bought tones of chocolate and it tasted like heaven. We also went to the wax museum and ripley's believe it or not museum in time square. They were really cool and in the ripley's place there was a hallway that made you feel like you were spinning upside down and my sister and I ran down that thing trying to not fall too many times. My family and I also did a lot of shopping which was exciting because I got a lot of new clothes. We also went to many different restaurants like ellen's stardust which is where the waiters sing and dance on the tables. Also another place where there was a stove on your table and they brought you your food and you got to cook it yourself. I found also that I became really close with my family and it was such a great experience.

  19. My favourite spring break memory would have to be last year. It was Wednesday that we decided would be the perfect day for a Harry Potter Marathon. Emilia came over at around nine in the morning. We immediately headed to the basement and set up our snacks. We had popcorn and addiction bars and so much more. We quickly grabbed the movie and put it in the DVD player. We were ready for the long marathon that we had just begun. After the first movie we went upstairs to watch the others. We watched them upstairs until the fifth movie, then we went back down. It was probably around nine then. We sat on the couch and were starting to get tired. We pressed fast forward but only once because my old TV has a feature where you can still hear them talking but they're juts talking really fast. We did that for the first half seventh movie. We fell asleep before we could watch the last part of the seventh movie but we watched it in the morning. It was a blast!

  20. My best spring break memory would have to be during last spring break. My family and I went to California for the week. The weather was amazing, it was so hot and the sun was always shining. One of my favorite parts was going to visit the beaches and of course there was the shopping. Rodeo Drive was so cool, except for at Chanel, the sales people were very snobby and mean. Another thing I loved was visiting the San Diego Zoo, there was such a big variety of animals and they were all so cute. All in all it was a great experience filled with great memories of my parents and I together.

  21. I don’t remember what year but one year during March Break my family took a road trip to Vermont. In Vermont we went don’t church street, visited family and shopped a lot. I bought shoes and some shirts but the one thing I really liked was an Oscar the grouch hat that looks so nerdy and childish it’s perfect. I don’t know what my attraction is to looking like a nerd who never grew up but I don’t mind it one bit.

  22. My favorite spring break memory was when I was about 10 years old, when I went to Lake Placid. I can't remember how long it took us to drive there since I fell asleep most of the drive, but I do remember the fantastic views of the mountains and the lake side view. The hotel we stayed in was just along the snow covered beach leading to the lake, which was a majestically beautiful view because there was the mountain that was added to the scenery behind the lake. The part about the whole trip that I found the best was ride I went on down the mountain. I'm not going to lie, but I'm not a huge fan about roller coasters, but going on something that I know that can flip, just like what happened in the movie "Cool Running" I knew that there was a bigger risk there. It was a bobsled ride. Yes, a bobsled ride, it was a really cool ride and terrifying at the same time but the view of the lake through the trees was probably just the most amazing sight I have ever seen. That was my most favorable spring break memory yet.

  23. My best spring break memory must've been when I was around 7 years old. I was at the beach with my family, sitting on a boogie board, high from the tide. As time passed, the tide got higher and higher until it began to rush over my legs. At one point, I felt a stinging pain across my legs when the tide washed over me. I immediately got up and jumped around in pain. When my mom approached me to see what had happened, she saw a jellyfish that was attached to my legs. When she got it off me, I was crying due to the pain, and there was a mark that was left on me. This is probably my favorite memory because when I look back at it now, it's a cool story to share, plus, I was pretty tough considering I didn't go into shock.

  24. My best spring break memory was when I went to Florida with my family. My grandparents move to a condo there in the winter so I rarely get to see them. When we go to Florida, we usually stay at their condo. They live two minutes from a big pool and ten minutes from the beach. Since it is spring break, it is warmer than what it would be during winter. During this time we usually go to Sawgrass Mills mall. I love shopping so it is a lot of fun since this mall is huge. We also usually go to a movie theater that is right near the condo. This theater is usually practically empty so it is a lot of fun to be one of the only ones watching the movie. We occasionally go on an activity such as go karting or to a water park but usually spend most of the time at the condo and the pool. We also visit our family members who live in Florida because we do not get to see them very often. I have four cousins who live there and we always miss them therefore when we go see them we always have a great time.

  25. My favorite spring break memory was when I was in grade 2 and I went skiing for the first time. I couldn't go on the big hills since I had no clue how to ski so I had an instructer who taught me how to ski and all that. Within 30 minutes I got the hang of it and started skiing without my instructer holding helping. Since I didn't use polls while getting trained, I couldn't go on the big hills so I just stayed on the small hill the whole time but I didn't care because it was SO much fun for me!

  26. March break is my favorite break! It probably has something to do with the fact that my birthday is during the break. Every year for my birthday we go to Bâton Rouge and it has become a tradition that everyone looks forward to. One year my parents took me up north for the week and we went skiing everyday at Mont-Olympia it was so fun. On my birthday we went to Bâton Rouge and had a great time. After that we went night skiing and that was really wonderful. It was really pretty to see on the tip of the mountain all of the lights while going down the hill

  27. My best spring break memory would have to be the spring break of March 2013. My family and I went to Disney World for my 13th birthday. It was so much fun and we did so many fun things. For my birthday dinner we had dinner in Cinderella's Castle with all the princesses and we watch the fireworks from the balcony of the castle. We went to all the amusant parks in Disney World and all the different kingdoms. We went on all the rides and went to so many cool places and went to see all the characters. I felt like I was little again and it was so much fun. This was not only the best break ever March break ever but my best birthday ever! I am so excited for this one!

  28. My best spring break was for sure my trip to Hawaii in 2012. My family went to visit Hawaii for 3 weeks to get away from the cold Canadian winters. We took three planes there and three planes back. It was my first time taking a plane so it was I was so anxious to go on this trip. I got to Hawaii after the cool plane rides filled with amazing views because I got a window seat so I could see it all! I stepped out of the Hawaiian airport and the humidity just hit me and you would look around and all you saw was beautiful palm trees blowing with the wind. It was one of the most beautiful things I’d even seen. We stayed in this little condo, that had a mango tree right outside the balcony and a pathway that lead to the beach. On the first day, we went to the town we were staying in just to check it out and I think I speak for everyone when I say I fell in love instantly. The vibes that people gave you could honestly just fill up your heart with happiness! Everyone said hello in the mornings if you were walking outside and that was one of my favorite parts of this trip. The beach ne’er our condo was a perfect small beach, pretty private with white sand and turquoise waters. One day, I was on the beach and a huge turtle just came next to me, kind of scary but so beautiful! Another day I was at this more public beach and a seal came to sleep on the beach ne’er me! It was such an amazing trip and everyone in my family had an amazing time. I really hope I get to go back soon to re visit my paradise.
