A special moment I had with a sibling was when I went to New York, and my family and I went camping. It is our family tradition to go camping every year with a few other family friends. It is so much fun every year, but this one year in particular was the best. My older sister and I were swimming in the lake and we saw an island really far out. We asked my dad if we could swim out there, it was really far but my dad said yes. He swam out with us and when we finally made it after more than 30 minutes of swimming. When we got to the island there were two huge rocks, one was really long, flat, and short and the other was tall, and skinny. First we went to the short, long rock. The rock was so slippery and hard to climb up. When we finally made it we slid back down and the rock went so deep into the water it was so much fun!!! I spent hours just sliding on that rock with my sister. Then we went to the other rock. I climbed up it first and made it to the top. Then I jumped off into the water, it was a really tall rock, and the jump was so much fun!!! As I hit the water I looked up and saw my sister jumping after me, she ended up kicking me in the face!!! It was fine, I just had a sore face, but it was so much fun we did it over and over again. That day on the island was one of the most special, and best days with my sister! <3 Grace Makinson
My brother and I definitely fight, but there are certain times when we share some amazing moments. I can remember one time when he was driving me to one of my skating practices and I was in a bad mood from a really long day at school. Without saying anything, he selected one of our favourite songs from when we were younger, and I immediately grin, my bad mood instantly fading away. The whole way there, we had the music on full blast, jamming out like how we used to when we were younger, laughing and singing as we forgot all our problems. We didn’t necessarily say anything to each other, but the time we shared during the ride said it all. My brother was a pretty solid guy, and I was happy to have so many little moments like this with him.
When my little sister and I were younger we used to film ourselves with our handheld camcorder. We pretended that I hosted a talk show and she was a famous person that I interviewed. Her character changed from a famous swimmer to a movie star and I would ask her a series of superficial basic questions, such as her favorite color and what she did in her spare time. We must have been 7 and 5 years old at the time and we were just bored of watching TV and sitting around the house. Now the special moment happened when my dad decided to back up all of our old photos and videos on to an external hard drive and my sister and I were looking over the ones we wanted to keep. We saw our stupid video and we burst out laughing, we both couldn’t believe how weird we were as kids. Needless to say now we have an funny inside joke that we bring up from time to time.
I remember a day just 1 year ago where my older sister and I went downtown for the day. My parents work downtown, so one day we decided to go with them, after a bit they told us that we could go explore if we wanted and we both said yes. We walked outside and picked a direction that looked the most fun. We stopped in little stores, bakeries, and other fun places and then we went and saw a movie. All in all it was super fun,k and it is definitely an awesome memory that I share with my sister.
My sister and I are so extremely close, and we've had so many moments. But one of them that is the most memorable to me, was when we both went to go see the Miley Cyrus concert together. We were already in a big fight going there, which was the first huge fight that we've basically ever had, but when we got there, we had so much fun together and it was one of the best nights of my life. Miley Cyrus is my favourite singer, and Amanda (my sister), is my favourite person, so I can't even explain how much fun I had. We took so many pictures, and completely forgot about our argument. It was also my first concert, and we had pretty good seats.
Up until last Christmas my younger brother and I shared a room. Well, we didn’t exactly share it, we had rooms next to each other and there was a doorway with no door that connected the two. Aside from his stench occasionally making it into my room and his messiness, I liked it. He would leave his lights on so I couldn’t fall asleep and he would make loud noises but I would do it all over again because what we gained was worth all those things. One night, we started talking from our beds, this wasn't unusual but our conversations never lasted more than ten, twenty minutes, but this time was different. We talked and talked and talked until really late. We discussed everything from our family to current events (at the time). I woke up the next morning tired and exhausted for school but it was so worth it. We bonded so much over that night, I didn’t think that I could know him any better than I already did but that was proven wrong after our hour long conversation. I felt so close to my brother that night, all of his annoying ways suddenly disappeared and we just connected. I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
My sister and I are very close. She is only 5 but we get along really well. I enjoy making her laugh and playing with her. A moment very special to me is the day we played together in the ocean. Splashing, running, and just having fun all day long. We both love swimming and playing in the sun. I'm glad we are able to share our passion for swimming together. It is something we can always do together.
A really special moment to me, that I shared with my brother was last year in mexico. We both had been staring at these 1400cc jet skis that we were dying to ride out in the ocean and we finally asked my dad if we can pleaasssee take them for the day. Since we were on vacation he said ok, we had them for the entire day so there was no rush but I remember floating in the ocean, side by side and we look at each other at the exact same time and right in that moment we both twisted the handle to the max and it turned into a full on race. We hadn't realized how fast 1400cc can move you through water, I mean each of our jet skis were at a 45 degree incline it was fantastic! The wakes we had behind us were beautiful and I am just really glad that I got to share my victory with my brother.
A special moment that I had with my brothers was when my youngest brother made it to the finals in regionals and playoffs in hockey. My other siblings and I helped my mom bake cupcakes for there entire hockey game and went there to cheer him and his team on. Even though they lost both their final games of the season, it was still a special moment for all of us as a family and especially because this was his first year on a hockey team.
My sister and I have always been really close. We love hanging out together, going out together and watching movies. Recently my sister and I went to a hockey game of the Montreal Canadians. We were in the second row which was really cool. We had so much fun cheering people on and dancing trying to get on camera. We laughed a lot and it was such a fun experience. I love doing activities with my sister and that was really fun and I'm glad I got to be with her for my first every hockey game.
For me, there is not just one single memory that I have with my brother. Over the years, we have made so many memories together. However, there is one story that pops into my head when I think back. I decided to try to race my mom and brother in her car with my brother’s bike. I was about 8, so I was still very small. As I biked towards my house down a steep hill going full speed, I couldn’t reach the brakes and I went flying into my garage door denting it and hurt my head.
A special moment I had with my brother was when we went to Hawaii. We decided to go on a walk together and have an adventure. As we were walking, the beach had a lot of rocks and broken sea shells that were hurting out feel while we walked so we decided to walking in the water. We had the walk a on a part of a coral reef because the water was getting deep. As I was walking on the reef, I cut the bottom of my foot on something very sharp. Right away my brother reacted and ripped his shirt apart and tied it to my foot to try and stop all of the bleeding. Our whole way back to the hotel, he helped me limp back to our resort. I love him very much and can’t wait to see him this weekend <3
An example of a special moment with my siblings would be last Sunday at my sister's hockey team party. My dad is on a long business trip so I had to replace him. I woke up at 8:00am to coach my 6 year old sister's 3 on 3 girls hockey team. After that, since there was nobody to drive me to my reffing later, I spent 2 extra hours at the arena with one of my players helping to teach her French. I then reffed for 3 hours, completely wearing me out. I didn't have any money so I didn't get to eat and by the time my grandparents picked me up to go home it was already time for my sister's end of the year hockey party. I was so unbelievably angry that I didn't get any time whatsoever to just relax and to fit in some homework. When we got to the Laurentian Bowling place I had 0 patience left. I told my sister that I spent my day on her and that she'd better listen well. Instead, she decided to fool around with the girls and boys and pretend I didn't exist, ignoring everything I said. It might have been the lack of food in my system that was causing my anger but I got so mad that I banned my sister from bowling anymore. She spent a good 10 minutes crying in the bathroom screaming that she hated me and never wanted to see my face again. I had completely lost track of my brother at this point who had wandered off showing all the parents and older sisters magic tricks. Once the bowling was over and the coaches announced the food was being served I told my brother and sister I was sorry for yelling at them and decided to give them a little freedom because I was letting all my anger out on them when I shouldn't have. My sister played around with her friends freely and I let my brother sit with a group of kids he knew from school. I sat there alone realizing I might've just been mean to them because I wanted them to stay with me. When everyone had gone and we were the last people there waiting for our grandparents, I apologized to them once again and said I was sorry I didn't have that much time for them and that I now knew how they felt. I ended up buying them candy and giving them each 3 dollars to spend in the arcade. We had a really great time and though I might have dreaded going at the start, I ended up feeling thankful that I got to go, because that moment where my siblings and I were all laughing at the same time without one of us turning on another was a moment I'll never forget.
A special moment I shared with my sister (only blood related sibling) was not only with her but also with other people who are sort of like siblings to me. I can't recall the exact date we did this but what a day it was. My sister and I decided to hang out with our best friends on the same day, who just so happen to be sisters, also our neighbors and family friends. It has always been us four. That day we saw a video on funny or die called mob wives and just fell involve with the characters and story. We decided to film our own. I was young at the time but that didn't stop me, the video had swear words but we didn't care because we just wanted it to look identical to the original. My mom filmed it and was okay with us swearing because it was "strictly for the movie". We memorized the lines, did our hair and makeup and began shooting it. Our group was very familiar with filming and editing since this wasn't the first video we've made, we used to make music videos all the time! We filmed it with my under water camera and at the time that was a great camera. Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore but it's okay because we still to this day have the video and watch it to reminisce about the old times. I love how much we all connected that day and will never forget it. My sister and I had a tough childhood hating each other often and this was a time were we would forget about it all and do something fun. Surprisingly I re-watched it recently with the group again and we decided to redo it since we are older, more mature and we have a way better camera. Can't wait!!!
I special moment I shared with my siblings would definitely be when I went on a trip to Cuba with my brothers who are twins. It was really fun spending time on the beach and swimming togethe, I had a really great time and hope I can go back sometime.
One good memory I have with my brother is when we used to play cars. He had a really big collection of hot wheels and just a bunch of random toy cars, so we would line them all up and pretend that they were people in a city. Then we would build garages out of Lego and we would act them all out. They would have traffic jams and go on tons of adventures and I just remember having lots of fun inventing different stories using the cars with him.
One good memory I have with my sister is a very very long time ago when we would go on ''adventures" in the forest behind our house. When our parents were busy working and we had nothing to do, we would make our own fun. So we would go out in the forest alone and explore. We would find rocks, salamanders and even frogs that we would try and keep as pets. I remember once I had a frog named toad ( oh the irony ). My sister lost it after a couple of hours and I remember I was sitting on a chair staring into the woods and watching my sister try to find a new frog because she felt bad. The only problem with our "adventures" was that we usually forgot to tell our parents...
Me and my sister are really close, and we have good memories all of the time. The most recent funny/good memory was about 3 hours ago. My sister was supposed to be studying at the library, and thats the time when we usually text. When she gets bored she texts me, and since I have nothing better to do ill text her back. So anyways, we were having a decent conversation, and somehow it turned into a random rap battle, we went back and fourth until she said something along the lines of "Twinkle twinkle little star, I'll run you over with my car" I mean what am I supposed to say to that! I don't own anything bigger or better than a car! I had to surrender, and let her win.
A special moment that I share with my 11 year old brother, is when I help him with math. Math is one of my favorite subjects so I don’t mind helping him when he needs it. It is nice, because it is also one of the only times where my brother doesn’t argue or annoy me. He listens to everything I say and does everything I say. The best is when I finish teaching him, and he doesn’t bother me because he feels bad. He feels bad because I took time out of my schedule to help him with math, so for the rest of the night, he isn’t a pain in my neck.
My oldest brother and I are pretty close. Although we do fight every once in a while, we still have good times together. One thing is that over the winter break, we would stay up until about 3 or 4 in the morning, we would just be watching movies. We went through all the Marvel superhero movies, the Harry Potter movies and so much more. My brother and I bond over superheros. We always watch them together and we even watch Agents of Shield and Daredevil together. He does get mad at me though because I sometimes don’t know what's going on so I ask questions and he kind of just gives me death stares until I understand it. And this weekend we’re going to see the second Avengers together. He even almost forces me to go last night to the premiere because he wanted to see it so badly. So I would say that my best memories with him is when we watch bunch of superhero stuff.
One memory that I will never forget involved one of my brothers and two of my cousins. We were at my country house and decided to go on a walk in a forest that we had never been in before. Our first mistake was that we did not bring our phones or water. We were walking for a while and decided it was time to go back when we realized that we had no idea where we were going. This is when we discovered that we were lost with no water or form of communication. We found a water stream and since we were desperate, we started drinking out of it. We then ended up at a lake and from the distance, we saw tiny little colourful things. We realized these were our pool towels hanging off of the balcony of our house. We walked all the way around the lake and screamed when we finally got out of the forest. When we got back, our grandparents did not even realize that we were gone for that long.
My sister and I are always together during the day for moments when shes not working or at school. We have lots of fun memories but one in particular was when we spent a whole day together in the summer. We spent the whole day with our friends all together, then at night we took a hour walk down by the lake and talked the whole time. It was really fun and I feel as if we began closer after this night. We usually fight if we are together for long periods of time, but this day we didn't. We got along really well and laughed and talked a lot.
A special moment i had with my siblings was when all four of us drove to Toronto together! I really missed my cousins who live in Toronto and my brother really wanted to get and watch the blue jays play because he loves baseball. My eldest sister had her license for a while and my parents did not feel like driving for six hours so Kellie drove us. We all drove together for the six hours and it was really fun! we stooped for lunch and dinner and we all got along really well. It was fun to be with my sisters and brother without my parents. I will always remember this trip and i can not wit to do it again!!
My younger sister and I fight a lot but I am pretty close with her. One special moment I had that I will never forget is last year when I went to Ottawa with her during march break. We spent the day with my grandma skating on the Ottawa river. I'll always remember that day because it started off pretty bad but ended up being one of the funnest days of my life. We were fighting in the car on the way there over something really stupid and when we got there we weren't talking to each other. We got on our skates and started skating and soon after we were laughing and skating together and had completely forgot about the fight we had. After that, we went to go get beaver tails and they were delicious! That night, we went to a really nice restaurant in town and it was one of the best meals i've ever had. This is a memory I will always cherish.
I never really have many special moments with my siblings because I'm the youngest one; my two sisters are five years and 7 years older than me. Whenever we were ever on vacation it was always them two hanging out and me alone. But for now my eldest sister has moved out so me and my other sister have got a lot closer and I guess you could say that we have had some special moments when she's not trying to beat me up or steal all my clothes.
I have three siblings and we all get along really well most of the time. I would have to say that my older sister and I get along really well. We fight a lot, yet get along at the same time. A special moment we had together was on our trip to Florida last year. We had a pool at our hotel and took the day as a "Relaxation Day" and tanned at the poolside. Before the trip, we spent hours doing research on the best tanning oils to use. Once the tanning day had finally come, we were so exited to finally use it. We spent probably 4 hours tanning together, talking and bonding. It was by far one of my favourite moments with her. Even though the tanning oil didn't work so much, we still got a tan and had a blast. -Elisabeth Laflamme
One memory that I have a fond recollection of is last year's Christmas. My mom bought us this really fun word game that we now all love. We brought the game to our grandparents and played it almost the whole night with our cousin. It was so much fun because even though we weren't always winning we surprisingly were not fighting. My came in the room at one point and was very shocked to see us playing a game together and not fighting.
Since I do not have a sibling, except for my half sister, but for this blog I will be talking about an experience that I have had with my cousins. I am on good terms with all my cousins, but there was one experience that was very special to me. We were on vacation in Niagara Falls and we were playing this huge maze game. I was in a team with one of my cousins while the other was with my half sister, the game was to get to the middle of the maze first. The whole time we were talking through the walls and laughing while trying to find the middle. This was a great memory and my cousins and I still laugh about it to this day.
My sister and I are very close I think it is because we are so close in age. We are only separated by 18 months. Although we fight a lot we have also created a lot fun memories. One of the best memories that I can remember, is during the summer. We would fill balloons up with water, put them in our trampoline, get into our bathing suits, and go jump in the trampoline and try and pop the balloons on each other. We don’t just have fun in the trampoline we also have fun filling up the balloons with water. This process is very intense, because we fill the balloons up to their capacity and we have to make sure that they don’t break on us on our way to the trampoline. I really enjoy these memories of me and my sister.
A special moment I had with a sibling was when I went to New York, and my family and I went camping. It is our family tradition to go camping every year with a few other family friends. It is so much fun every year, but this one year in particular was the best. My older sister and I were swimming in the lake and we saw an island really far out.
ReplyDeleteI special moment I shared with my siblings would definitely be when I went on a trip to Cuba with my brothers who are twins. It was really fun spending time on the beach and swimming togethe, I had a really great time and hope I can go back sometime.
ReplyDeleteOne good memory I have with my brother is when we used to play cars.
ReplyDeletehaha thats so much fun!
DeleteOne good memory I have with my sister is a very very long time ago when we would go on ''adventures" in the forest behind our house.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun!
DeleteMe and my sister are really close, and we have good memories all of the time.
ReplyDeleteA special moment that I share with my 11 year old brother, is when I help him with math.
ReplyDeleteIt is great that you help your little brother. Also that must be fun to have him off your back for the night. :)
DeleteMy oldest brother and I are pretty close.
ReplyDeleteI always loved watching superhero movies with my brothers!
DeleteOne memory that I will never forget involved one of my brothers and two of my cousins.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I are always together during the day for moments when shes not working or at school.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun sam!! I love having a close relationship with my siblings and I think it is great that you two get along so well.
DeleteA special moment i had with my siblings was when all four of us drove to Toronto together!
ReplyDeleteI remember you telling me this story! It seems like you and your siblings have a lot of fun together!
DeleteMy younger sister and I fight a lot but I am pretty close with her.
ReplyDeleteI never really have many special moments with my siblings because I'm the youngest one; my two sisters are five years and 7 years older than me. Whenever we were ever on vacation it was always them two hanging out and me alone. But for now my eldest sister has moved out so me and my other sister have got a lot closer and I guess you could say that we have had some special moments when she's not trying to beat me up or steal all my clothes.
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad that your siblings are so much older than you that you never got to have a close relation ship with either of them!

That sounds like it was a lot of fun!
DeleteOne memory that I have a fond recollection of is last year's Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSince I do not have a sibling, except for my half sister, but for this blog I will be talking about an experience that I have had with my cousins.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I are very close I think it is because we are so close in age.
