I think that in 100 years, the world will be a horrible place to live. My reasons are because of the amount of pollution that there is now, will only accumulate in time. We will be living in a world of garbage. It is not healthy for us, or for any living species. Then again, people will be living in a world with new technology. With advanced technology, there may be a way to get rid of the waste. I also think that the world will be a better place because of the advanced technology that there will be. People will be able to do so many mind blowing things with the technology. The technology might be a good way to get rid of most of the problems of the world in 100 years.
I think your ideas about the environment in the future are really interesting. I'm also concerned about the pollution and I definitely would not like to live in a world like that.
I like how you also incorporated the environment into your post besides the technology point which is a big problem because although we would probably be surrounded by technology 100 years from now, we also might be sick and might catch diseases from how the environment will probably be like.
In 100 years, I believe the world will be better and worse than it is today. From history, we can see that humans can accomplish so much in 100 years that I can imagine we would have very advanced technology. Current problems such as the environment could be solved by innovative ideas over the next 100 years, making the world a more harmonious place. With all kinds of advanced technology and human ingenuity, there would be no limit to what we could accomplish, however I believe that the overuse of technology could make the world addicted. If so much were to rely on technology, one mistake and the whole world could fall, making the world a very fragile society. Human society could also lose some meaning to life. Without the need to get out and be creative, some other incredible little things that make life worth living would be potentially extinct. Technology is becoming more and more advanced every year, and with it comes pros and cons, which is why I believe the world in 100 years will be both better and worse.
I agree with the fact that society could become very fragile due to how much we depend on technology. You are right, technology has its pros and cons and if we do not use it properly then it could do more bad than good for our society. I think that your point about potentially missing out on doing things worth living for and being creative was a very true and interesting one. If we don't anything to live for then what is the point of living?
In 100 years from now i think that the world will be better and worse than today because we will have run out of gas. All things gas powered will be replaced by electricity.This will benefit the environment because gas will not pollute the atmosphere. One negative effect that this will have is that all car lovers won't be able to enjoy themselves because an electric engine has no power compared to a gas engine under the hood and charging stations will be few and far between, which will force people to use alternate methods of transport until the issue is fixed.
I agree and I am a car lover so that is pretty sad to hear. It is what is it and let's hope they keep the petrol engines here until my time is up. on the upside it is great that it could save the atmosphere from all the pollution that we are causing today.
I don't agree with everything you said I think that since there will be no more gas all the gas powered cars will be useless and would be scattered all around like in the middle of streets or taking up place in garbage dumps.
In 100 years I believe that the world will be a better place. I believe that humans will have developed technology and fixed many world problems. With the new technology humans could expand their knowledge of anything and everything and make the world a better place. However I also believe that in 100 years there will be many issues too. I think that the development of technology will be positive but it could have negative repercussions. It is possible that humans will rely too much on technology and become to dependant on it, addicted or anti-social. There is also the environment to consider. Pollution is a problem today so I could only imagine what it would be like in 100 years. Also, there are many people on this earth already and I worry that in 100 years the earth will become over populated. I believe that only negative things can come from an over populated world. Overall, I think that the world will be better and worse than it is today. I really like how you started off your blog positively because it made me accutally belive that in 100 years the world will be a better place. I predict that in 100 years we will have definitely run out of gas and left a gapping hole in the ozone, but everyone will probably be using electric cars. However people will become evermore addicted to technology and all of the negative effects that it brings with it. We will also have found a cure for cancer but that means an overpopulated planet with not enough food or space to go around. With every negative that will happen in the future their is a corresponding positive and vice versa. But really who can know or predict the future, who knows in 100 years all human life could be dead.
Let's hope that they do find a cure for cancer. I really do like how you said that people will get even more addicted to technology because, with the advanced technology, people will most probably not have to do anything besides sitting back and letting the technology do the work for them.

There is so much good things going on right now, showing how people everywhere are starting to care more about the environment. People have created cars that run on electricity instead of gas. Soon enough everyone will own one and the gas from cars, buses, trucks, etc. will no longer be a problem. Also people are starting to use recycling bins more and compost. There is also a lot less racism and gay marriage is starting to be more common. People are beginning to be more accepting to different people and soon there will be no judging. Also they are starting to have more cures for different diseases and maybe in one hundred years there will be no sicknesses. In one hundred years I think the world will be more green, accepting and healthier.
I think in the future, the world will be the stereotypical way everyone thinks it will be. There will be flying cars, cars that can drive on the water and many more new inventions. On the other hand, the pollution can get worse, more crimes can be committed and more crazy people will be born. There's two completely different paths the future can take, depending on how the world treats it over the next generations. In the end, it's up to us to decide.

I do agree with Jesse I think the world in 100 years will have flying cars and all sorts of new inventions.I also think that the world in 100 years will be a lot better than it is now because now we have realized some of the major problems like pollution. I think that if we are already working on those problems now, I can only help myself to think that in the future they will be resolved.I really hope that in the future there will be a lot of positive things that happen, saying that, every time there is something positive that happens there always has to be some negative. our government could have fallen there could be virus and disease spreading everywhere, who knows what the future holds for us.
Honestly, I think the world will be much worse than today. To start, the pollution levels will increase. By this I mean that, like in Asia, the skies would be grey and the cities would become enclosed in the toxic air. You always hear how much we need to recycle and reuse anything we possibly could, but even though we are getting a little bit better, eventually the trend will fade like all others and we will no longer care. I also think that our political ways will change. Canada will probably want our own government and people will eventually start a war. Quebec might finally become it's own country (or whatever) and most people will flee, leaving Quebec to nothing. I do hope that eventually our technology will evolve to something healthier, but I feel afraid that it will come to late to save our world. I hate to be a downer, but I really do believe that our world is to lazy to act. I hope I'm wrong, and hope people wake up fast enough to deal with the present.
I think it is interesting that you brought up the point about Quebec becoming its own country. I did not think of that aspect until now but I think you are right. If our province is left in the wrong hands, it could potentially become its own country. I think that in 100 years from now, the world will be better and worse than it is today. It will be better because technology will be enhanced and we’ll be able to learn and create new ideas like never before. On the down side, technology could potentially take over our society. It is already occurring that technology is taking over people’s lives since fewer children are out playing but rather inside on their iPads and computers. Instead of being out on their bikes, they’d rather play a bike race on their devices. In 100 years from now, every child will most likely have a device and street hockey and skateboarding will no longer exist. Another reason why the world will be worse than it is today is because pollution will probably rise. In 100 years from now, I think the world will be filled with pollution. Many people today already don’t care about the environment and in 100 years I believe that nobody will and the world will be completely polluted.
I personally think one hundred years from right now will become the worst thing possible. I can't even imagine what will be going on in our lives and how different everything in our society will be like. First of all, the technology will be one hundred times worse than today, and my parents think that one hour of technology is a lot. In the future, our lives will most likely revolve around technology and we probably won't be able to live without it. Next generation kids will be playing sports and games on their TVs, phones and more apple products instead of actually going outside to play and it's kind of scary once you think about it. Second point is the environment, honestly, I don't even want to think about how awful our environment is going to be like. We think the pollution is horrible today, the future will also be one hundred times worse! Every time we breathe, we'll probably inhale a sickness or a disease because there's so much pollution in the air. So in conclusion, I believe that one hundred years from now, we will all rely on technology and we will always be sick from the environment we will most likely live in.

There are many good aspects to technology it is very addictive and it will eventually end major accomplishments in history such as humans learning how to write. Even though humans have invented new technology to reduce pollution it still has a negative aspect, it costs a lot of money. Also, another thing that will get worse in the future is the economy. Already each year everything is becoming more and more expensive, like the cafeteria cookies used to be $1 now they are $1.10 think about how expensive they are going to be in 100 years from now. Overall, I do think that there will be improvements in the world in 100 years but I think it will get a lot worse than better.

I agree with you that free wifi would be cool but at the same time I feel like that would be really unhealthy. It is already proven that wifi signals can cause cancer and plenty of other diseases.
In one hundred years from now I think it would be worse than today. I honestly feel that at some point our government is going to fall. Then we will go through a crazy apocalypse moment and then after that the government is going to be super crazy and strict.I don't feel like it would be a dystopia. I just feel like if you would do something against the law, the penalties would be a lot worse compared to now. I feel like this will be caused by the lack of gas left on Earth. The population will be so mad that we will have a crisis then the government will fall. For example the penalty for a speeding ticket will be like 5000$ dollars, just so that the government can ensure security throughout the population. But I do feel like the government will go back to normal at some point. I just feel that this crisis moment will happen in about 100 years.

In one hundred years from now, I think that there are gonna be things about this world that are better and worse. For example, I think that our technology is already so far and successful that in the future technology is gonna be a really important aspect in our day-to-day lives (not that I have a problem with it) the bad thing about that would be that everyone would depend on technology for everything whether it is for books, learning, teaching and things like that. in 100 years from now, i believe that technology will rule the world. The population will forget the importance of exercise, socializing (in person),and mainly the fact of being outdoors. They will rely completely on their technology. They can edit the way they look on their phones to higher self-esteem, they'll be able to communicate with people all around the world without even having to move! Our generation right now is this way, and so i am terrified to find out what will happen in 100 years. Maybe we will have robots to text for us. Maybe we will get them to mimic our voices and our actions so they can replace us when we don't feel like meeting up with someone. Of course there are some positive aspects too. Maybe having a robot would make life easier. Maybe a cloned robot could take your place in a business meeting in Australia well the real you stays at home and spends time with your kids. Maybe the robots will cause unemployment, or maybe they will help the community by having everyone stay home while they work and make profit for the family they were built in. All i know is in 100 years, the population will have grown along with its inventions and ideas... I just hope ill be able to experience them.

I completely agree with you and your point on electric cars! This generation is making so many efforts to help our environment so I can't even imagine how amazing those efforts are going to be in 100 years.
In a hundred years from now it could be a dystopia or a utopia. We have no idea how much our society will advance in the next hundred years. I bet you no one in 1914 imagined that we would be able to call people all across with the world with just a few clicks of a button. The world has advanced so much who knows how much we will advance in the next hundred years. We could end up in a society similar to a dystopian novel or we could have perfect lives while we live in peace. But maybe it'll take more than a hundred years but the world is always advancing and who knows where we'll go next.
In the year 2114 I think that the world will be a much better place to live in. There are so many efforts being made right now to make our world a better place such as electric cars and recycling. Our technology world is evolving so quickly so just imagine how much better it will be in 100 years! We also have people like Mr. Katz making efforts for school classrooms to be 95% paperless so we can all just imagine how many trees we are going to save by using a lot less paper. More trees also means more oxygen and better air for us to breath!
In 100 years from now I think the world will be worse environmentally but better technologically. At the rate people pollute today, in 100 years the earth's atmosphere will hardly be breathable. Yet, i believe that the technology will be so advanced that we all might be able to live in a giant. We might even be able to produce our own oxygen. Maybe we'll end up like the people in the show 'The 100' and be living in a space station. In the upcoming 100 years World War 3 might breakout and we might all die from a nuclear bomb. You never know what's going to happen.
I think in 100 years it will get better yet still get worse. The amount of issues we have with people being too consumed In technology will be tripled if not more. Some will forget what real life used to be about and only focus on technology. We will even take advantage of going to the bathroom for example, electric toilet seat opener and flushing system even though it is very easy and simple to do yourself. The positives of the future might be finding cures to diseases and using less paper and actually using solar panels to create energy. Even if I think these things will happen doesn't mean they will. It might take more time but it will happen one day, even if one day is 400 years from now.
I definitely agree with you when you talk about how there is no way of knowing what the future will bring! I also agree when you say that even though the future is going to bring many positive things, it will also bring negatives things. Technology will most probably be so advanced that you will automatically use it for everything even though life would be much simpler if you just did things the old fashion way.
No one knows what will happen 100 years from now, all we can do is hope that the world is a better place, but let’s face it the planet is only getting worse. I personally think that in a 100 year we will probably have left this planet because we will probably have used up all of its resources and polluted it to the point of it being inhabitable, or another option is that WW3 breaks out and someone unleashes an atomic/nuclear bomb that renders the planet inhabitable because the air is too toxic. In both of these options we flee the planet because we messed it up too much. A more positive outcome is in the years to come we clean up our act and our planet and keep evolving our technology and we all live in a beautiful world that recycles and reuses. The outcome that I believe will happen is the first that I explained.

On the other hand there is a way to avoid this if we somehow figure out new ways of re-creating these necessities and finding safe ways to filter water we could save much more lives and maybe it would not be as bad.

I think that scientists will have developped a "cure" for global warming, even though it is unlikely. I think that technology will be incredibly advanced to the point where you could make breakfast from your bedroom. I think there will be less wars and less poverty. Who knows, maybe there will be a huge outbreak and everyone will die of disease or maybe someone will find the cure of cancer but i certainly hope for the best when it comes to the world my children and grandchildren will grow up in.

I think that if we are already working on those problems now, I can only help myself to think that in the future they will be resolved.I really hope that in the future there will be a lot of positive things that happen, saying that, every time there is something positive that happens there always has to be some negative. our government could have fallen there could be virus and disease spreading everywhere, who knows what the future holds for us.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think the world will be much worse than today. To start, the pollution levels will increase. By this I mean that, like in Asia, the skies would be grey and the cities would become enclosed in the toxic air. You always hear how much we need to recycle and reuse anything we possibly could, but even though we are getting a little bit better, eventually the trend will fade like all others and we will no longer care. I also think that our political ways will change. Canada will probably want our own government and people will eventually start a war. Quebec might finally become it's own country (or whatever) and most people will flee, leaving Quebec to nothing. I do hope that eventually our technology will evolve to something healthier, but I feel afraid that it will come to late to save our world. I hate to be a downer, but I really do believe that our world is to lazy to act. I hope I'm wrong, and hope people wake up fast enough to deal with the present.
ReplyDeleteI think it is interesting that you brought up the point about Quebec becoming its own country. I did not think of that aspect until now but I think you are right. If our province is left in the wrong hands, it could potentially become its own country. I agree with you and also hope that these things won't happen and that the world will become more aware of the environment.
DeleteI think that in 100 years from now, the world will be better and worse than it is today. It will be better because technology will be enhanced and we’ll be able to learn and create new ideas like never before. On the down side, technology could potentially take over our society. It is already occurring that technology is taking over people’s lives since fewer children are out playing but rather inside on their iPads and computers. Instead of being out on their bikes, they’d rather play a bike race on their devices. In 100 years from now, every child will most likely have a device and street hockey and skateboarding will no longer exist. Another reason why the world will be worse than it is today is because pollution will probably rise. In 100 years from now, I think the world will be filled with pollution. Many people today already don’t care about the environment and in 100 years I believe that nobody will and the world will be completely polluted.

DeleteI personally think one hundred years from right now will become the worst thing possible. I can't even imagine what will be going on in our lives and how different everything in our society will be like. First of all, the technology will be one hundred times worse than today, and my parents think that one hour of technology is a lot. In the future, our lives will most likely revolve around technology and we probably won't be able to live without it. Next generation kids will be playing sports and games on their TVs, phones and more apple products instead of actually going outside to play and it's kind of scary once you think about it. Second point is the environment, honestly, I don't even want to think about how awful our environment is going to be like. We think the pollution is horrible today, the future will also be one hundred times worse! Every time we breathe, we'll probably inhale a sickness or a disease because there's so much pollution in the air. So in conclusion, I believe that one hundred years from now, we will all rely on technology and we will always be sick from the environment we will most likely live in.

Even though there is a lot of new technology now that is being used for good things such as connecting with people who live far away. There are many good aspects to technology it is very addictive and it will eventually end major accomplishments in history such as humans learning how to write. Also, I believe that because there is so much pollution in the atmosphere there will be even more pollution in 100 years. Even though humans have invented new technology to reduce pollution it still has a negative aspect, it costs a lot of money. Also, another thing that will get worse in the future is the economy. Already each year everything is becoming more and more expensive, like the cafeteria cookies used to be $1 now they are $1.10 think about how expensive they are going to be in 100 years from now. Overall, I do think that there will be improvements in the world in 100 years but I think it will get a lot worse than better.

We will probably be able to do so many things that many would think as impossible. Already now, we have so much cool technology and people are still continuing to invent more things. But the downside to the future, is that people may not interact with each other as much, or learn how to write, because of all the technology. Also, we are already having problems with heat waves around the world, so that could cause many more natural problems.

ReplyDeleteIn one hundred years from now I think it would be worse than today. I honestly feel that at some point our government is going to fall. Then we will go through a crazy apocalypse moment and then after that the government is going to be super crazy and strict.I don't feel like it would be a dystopia. I just feel like if you would do something against the law, the penalties would be a lot worse compared to now. I feel like this will be caused by the lack of gas left on Earth. The population will be so mad that we will have a crisis then the government will fall. For example the penalty for a speeding ticket will be like 5000$ dollars, just so that the government can ensure security throughout the population. But I do feel like the government will go back to normal at some point. I just feel that this crisis moment will happen in about 100 years.

I think it will be better because it can have have new technology, the future can also have a cure for cancer and other diseses, and can have new and cool things that are only shown in movies or shows. I also think that technology will take over that no one will know how to properly socialize and will only be on technology. But I also feel that books will no longer be availible in stores and they will read on Ebooks or something like that. Even though technology will be really cool, I also think that it can take over peoples mind and they won't be able to survive without it. Overall, there will be some good things and bad things about the future and I hope that it will be good!
ReplyDeleteIn one hundred years from now, I think that there are gonna be things about this world that are better and worse. For example, I think that our technology is already so far and successful that in the future technology is gonna be a really important aspect in our day-to-day lives (not that I have a problem with it) the bad thing about that would be that everyone would depend on technology for everything whether it is for books, learning, teaching and things like that. We would depend on being social within technology that people would barely speak face to face anymore and that's what I'm afraid of, loosing the feeling of connection you can have with someone while speaking Dave to face because let's be honest here, it's pretty boring speaking to someone through technology all the time so if people stopped talking face to face than it would change society in a big way. Also hopefully more good things happen in the future so that our society can go further like curing things and fur thing education to the next level and just making everything better and worth it.

Deletein 100 years from now, i believe that technology will rule the world. The population will forget the importance of exercise, socializing (in person),and mainly the fact of being outdoors. They will rely completely on their technology. They can edit the way they look on their phones to higher self-esteem, they'll be able to communicate with people all around the world without even having to move! Our generation right now is this way, and so i am terrified to find out what will happen in 100 years. Maybe we will have robots to text for us. Maybe we will get them to mimic our voices and our actions so they can replace us when we don't feel like meeting up with someone. Of course there are some positive aspects too. Maybe having a robot would make life easier. Maybe a cloned robot could take your place in a business meeting in Australia well the real you stays at home and spends time with your kids. Maybe the robots will cause unemployment, or maybe they will help the community by having everyone stay home while they work and make profit for the family they were built in. All i know is in 100 years, the population will have grown along with its inventions and ideas... I just hope ill be able to experience them.

DeleteIn a hundred years from now it could be a dystopia or a utopia. We have no idea how much our society will advance in the next hundred years. I bet you no one in 1914 imagined that we would be able to call people all across with the world with just a few clicks of a button. The world has advanced so much who knows how much we will advance in the next hundred years. We could end up in a society similar to a dystopian novel or we could have perfect lives while we live in peace. But maybe it'll take more than a hundred years but the world is always advancing and who knows where we'll go next.

DeleteIn the year 2114 I think that the world will be a much better place to live in. There are so many efforts being made right now to make our world a better place such as electric cars and recycling. Our technology world is evolving so quickly so just imagine how much better it will be in 100 years! We also have people like Mr. Katz making efforts for school classrooms to be 95% paperless so we can all just imagine how many trees we are going to save by using a lot less paper. More trees also means more oxygen and better air for us to breath!

DeleteIn 100 years from now I think the world will be worse environmentally but better technologically. At the rate people pollute today, in 100 years the earth's atmosphere will hardly be breathable. Yet, i believe that the technology will be so advanced that we all might be able to live in a giant. We might even be able to produce our own oxygen. Maybe we'll end up like the people in the show 'The 100' and be living in a space station. In the upcoming 100 years World War 3 might breakout and we might all die from a nuclear bomb. You never know what's going to happen.
ReplyDeleteI think in 100 years it will get better yet still get worse. The amount of issues we have with people being too consumed In technology will be tripled if not more. Some will forget what real life used to be about and only focus on technology. We will even take advantage of going to the bathroom for example, electric toilet seat opener and flushing system even though it is very easy and simple to do yourself. The positives of the future might be finding cures to diseases and using less paper and actually using solar panels to create energy. Even if I think these things will happen doesn't mean they will. It might take more time but it will happen one day, even if one day is 400 years from now.

I also agree when you say that even though the future is going to bring many positive things, it will also bring negatives things. Technology will most probably be so advanced that you will automatically use it for everything even though life would be much simpler if you just did things the old fashion way.
DeleteNo one knows what will happen 100 years from now, all we can do is hope that the world is a better place, but let’s face it the planet is only getting worse. I personally think that in a 100 year we will probably have left this planet because we will probably have used up all of its resources and polluted it to the point of it being inhabitable, or another option is that WW3 breaks out and someone unleashes an atomic/nuclear bomb that renders the planet inhabitable because the air is too toxic. In both of these options we flee the planet because we messed it up too much. A more positive outcome is in the years to come we clean up our act and our planet and keep evolving our technology and we all live in a beautiful world that recycles and reuses. The outcome that I believe will happen is the first that I explained.

DeleteI believe that in 100 years from now the world will be much worse. I believe that it will be cause by wars, shortage of supplies and pollution. The changing climate will make the water rise which will cause floods etc. The increasingly polluted water will be undrinkable which would lead to many deaths and the shortage of supplies such as gas and oil will make most of the products we use on a daily basis today useless. On the other hand there is a way to avoid this if we somehow figure out new ways of re-creating these necessities and finding safe ways to filter water we could save much more lives and maybe it would not be as bad.
ReplyDeleteI think that 100 years from now, things will be incredibly different in ways we cannot even begin to imagine. Many people think the world will become very polluted and ugly but i think otherwise. I think that scientists will have developped a "cure" for global warming, even though it is unlikely. I want to believe that the world will have become a much more beautiful peaceful place but there is no way to tell what will happen in the future. I think that technology will be incredibly advanced to the point where you could make breakfast from your bedroom. I think there will be less wars and less poverty. Who knows, maybe there will be a huge outbreak and everyone will die of disease or maybe someone will find the cure of cancer but i certainly hope for the best when it comes to the world my children and grandchildren will grow up in.

I think that in one hundred years, the world will be an awful place to live in. My main reason is global warming. With the rising temperatures, life may be unsustainable. I believe that soon the planet earth will get too hot for humans to live on and we will be forced to move to another planet. Hopefully, the human race can learn from its mistakes and stop polluting before it is too late.
