Have you ever had a tune stuck in your head that just won't go away? I certainly have! They can be so annoying, not being able to concentrate, focus or listen because of this irritating jingle. These aggravating earworms come from all over the place, but the ones that are the most annoying are the ones from advertisements. The earworm that annoys me the most is the Stompeez Slippers jingle. The catchy tune and rhyming words are sadly all too much for me. Once I hear Stomp Stomp Stomp Stompeez, forget it, it'll be stuck in my head for hours, sometimes even days. I can't concentrate or focus and all I want to do is bang my head against a wall to get it out! If you haven't already then I hope that you never have to suffer from the torture that is the Stompeez earworm!

The commercial that I find the most annoying is the one about Skittles. I love the candy, but this ad drives me nuts! In it, there’s a grandma who’s walking her pet cloud... Next, this guy comes along and starts petting the cloud and it gets mad so it hits the guy with lightning. But when the grandma pets him, it gives her Skittles. I find this ad annoying because I don’t really understand it. It doesn’t make any sense! What’s the reference between a cloud and skittles?
WHAT?! I find that commercial so funny! I find that it is "stupid humour" but still! But I understand why you don't like it though, my sister doesn't either.
OHH MYY LOORRD!.....1-800 267 2001….WOW now that’s annoying. That number is the alarm force number from hell!....It is so catchy how they sing the numbers in a stupid jingle so it stays in your head for years! I don’t even remember when or where I got it from, that’s how long it’s been. There have actually been some days that I had a test or activity in class and I couldn’t concentrate on anything I was doing because of it. If and when the commercial comes on…I will scream…
One ad that I find EXTREMELY annoying is for the Neutrogena face wash. I find it annoying because it's so fake. When the teenager washes her face, she splashes the water on her face to take out all the soap. One minute there is soap on her face, the next, there isn't. Even when she splashes water on her face, I've tried splashing water on my face the exact same way, and my bathroom became a mess. They also show how she has so many pimples on her face before using the soap, and the second she finishes washing her face, there aren't anymore.
I have seen that commercial too! I find it so annoying how fake and unrealistic it is and how it practical impossible for that to happen. I like how you brought up the point that you tried to slash water on your face like her because I have a feeling that we all have tried things that look cool on tv. I know I have.
I know right! It drives me crazy to! In every face wash commercial they mystically splash water on their face and the result is flawless skin within seconds. Believe me when I say that I've tried a lot of the face wash products out there but none of them have resulted on perfect skin within seconds, not even within days. I hate how unrealistic it they are! In fact, some of them make me feel bad for having pimples that don't magically disappear, sorry that I don't have magic pimple erasing powers.
In my opinion the most annoying ad is the one for zoomies. Zoomies are almost the world’s stupidest invention. They are binoculars turned into an ugly pair of glasses. In the infomercial they claim that that zoomies "magnify up to 300%" and "are the choice of bird watchers and hunters". Personally I find the only thing more annoying and pointless that this invention is corresponding commercial. The commercial it depicts people having back problems because of heavy binoculars and not being able to see in a crowd. It also has the typical infomercial feel with the terrible acting and even worse lighting. It is just so obvious that its fake and to top it all off the narrator has a really annoying and strangely optimistic voice. P.s: my family got a pair of zoomies as a joke gift and they really don’t work!
I have never seen the Zoomies commercial but I understand what you're saying. People nowadays come up with the stupidest ideas ever. Like we obviously know it wont work so why do they even try?
One commercial that drives me bonkers is Progressive Insurance. The commercial takes place in a Progressive Insurance store. Usually a customer comes in with a problem or a question and Flo the saleswoman comes to help them. I guess the first time she was in it, it was funny because of her weird and nice personality but after being in over 10 of their commercials, it’s a bit much. I think they need to come up with a new idea because Flo is getting really annoying and she’s not even funny anymore. FLO YOU’RE FIRED!!!!

I think the most annoying commercials ever are the ones for Life Alert where they have the old people falling. Those commercials are so annoying because the old people who are in them really don't know how to act. The way the advertise for the Alert Button is so annoying and how they talk to their old people friends about their Alert Button systems is very irritating. The worst part is how in every commercial of it they say; "Help I've fallen and I can't get up" that line is so well known people are always making parodies of it. Overall, I really hate those infomercials because they are so bad at acting and making an interesting add that people actually pay attention to.

Whenever that commercial comes on, which is usually ALL THE TIME, all I see is some disheveled pitchman for a huge hotel booking website, apparently unable to shave, wear a belt or even find some properly fitted clothes! It just bothers me how it would be so easy and so much better to make him not look like he just woke up. The combination of the frequency, the disheveled guy and the lack of creativity and originality make it an overall poor move on Trivago’s part and make me want to change the channel ever time it comes on!

In general, the beauty commercials annoy me the most because I know everyone of them are fake. Every hair product or makeup ad sounds all the same, comparing it to a different one, and making it seem better. But the truth is, they're all the same! Maybe some of them contain different vitamins than others, but is that really going to 'repair your damaged and dry hair, and make it something you've never seen before'; NO! I respect the companies, but sometimes they really over exaggerate. And then they replay on and on whenever there is a chance for a commercial, and honestly, it drives me crazy.

Second of all who in their right mind actually believes that you can spray hair onto your head! Watching this trailer makes me want to rip out my own hair because of the actors in the commercial.
I'm not even sure what the advertisement was, but I remember a year or two ago when I was often jamming out to my favorite songs on the radio and all of a sudden this really creepy voice of a little girl singing "twinkle little star" would come on. Once the young girl stopped singing,an older voice would say: (so and so) was kidnapped last night, keep your children safe! As important as the message was, I hated having my favorite songs end with a creepy 3 year old's voice! I started downloading my own songs after that...
In my opinion the most annoying add in the world is the Pillsbury Toaster's Strudel one. Honestly the first time I saw it, I was on the ground laughing at how stupid it was. Only later, when I saw it again did I realize how annoying it is. I haven't watched TV for a really long time so I have no idea if it’s still on, but a year ago when I started hearing it all the time, I would be switching the channel to anything else until it was done. The kid is really annoying and the whole idea was stupid. Not to mention it was a little bit racist to people with that accent. The music in it was even worse than the kid, I don’t know why but the entire ad bothered me. It stuck in my head and I hated it, but with my luck, it’s going to be the first commercial playing when I watch TV next.
In my own opinion, I think that the most annoying advertisement is the double pizza jingle that comes on the radio. It's the one with the number: 514-343-0-343 ad it's so irritating and the song literally last for 2 minutes. Their pizza is the best in my neighbourhood but the song is so annoying and whenever I hear it on the radio, I just switch the station. There's like back up singers in the jingle and they say their phone number about 20 times in the entire advertisement. Hopefully they can come up with another unique and shorter jingle that makes people actually want to listen to the advertisement and not switch the radio station.

Whenever I'm watching tv, at least once every time I watch it, the commercial for alarm force happens to roll by. I think it is the most annoying thing and as soon as I hear it come on, I turn my tv off. I don't even remember the first time I heard it but in one day I was able to memorize that stupid phone number 1-800-267-2001, I even knew it better than my own phone number!! Its so clever when companies come up with ideas like this but more annoying at the same time which makes me hate them and they annoying jingle.
The commercial that I find the most annoying is the No No commercial. This is a product to help you remove your hair on your body in a painless fashion. The whole commercial, you just hear annoying people talk about how the No No changed their life. Then they show people use it but the people that use it already have no hair, so you have no idea if it actually works. I also hate this commercial because the music is extremely annoying and just gets stuck in your head forever. The person who is announcing the No No is super annoying because he talks like he is the happiest man on earth but he talks about getting rid of embarrassing hair on your body. I mean just the name the No No is super annoying.
The commercial that I find most annoying are the McDonalds summer commercials. McDonalds chooses to advertise their dollar drink days every five seconds during the summer. Those commercials agravate me because when I think McDonalds, I think of a yummy hamburger and at the end of the commercial, it will always end with the same stupid single! "Always a dollar, all summer." This commercial is so annoying, it plays every five seconds and has a stupid jingle.

The commercials that irritate me the most are all the infomercials, I find them very irritating. The main reason is because they are just TERRIBLE actors which makes it funny and sad to watch and because the voices of the people and the "narrator" are just irritating. They also last about 2-3 minutes of useless things that no one buys. Especially when they have a jingle that gets stuck in your head for like 2 weeks and you just can’t get it out. Any commercial that has an annoying jingle or bad actors are just so annoying.
I completely agree! For example, the Slap Chop used to be on pretty much every channel at every commercial break. It seems so unreal how it's effortless for him to use the product but my mom once bought it and returned it the next day. The worst is when there are the hour infomercials during the day so if you’re sick or something and want to watch T.V., you’re stuck watching infomercials.
The commercial that absolutely drives me mental is the "truvia commercial" ! It has the most annoying song I have ever heard. And, on top of that it doesn't only play one time every commercial break it plays 3 TIMES! Just to make sure you remember to drink you coffee with truvia instead of chemicals or sugar, they play it once right at the beginning, then in the middle, and to top it off... right at the end. Of course by then, if I was watching a good show I now was punching myself in the face, or I changed the channel. Either way, the commercial would somehow always seem to end up in my brain!
I think that the all-time worst advertisement is the HeadOn commercial. It is a fairly old commercial but I still see it sometimes when I go to the United States. This ad is just a person with the product and a voice over saying “HeadOn, apply directly to the forehead” three times, and that is it. This commercial is so irritating and every time I see it come on, I block my ears or change the channel. The commercial is so poorly done and has no description of the product that is being sold, except that is has to be applied directly to the forehead. This product is supposed to help cure headaches but in the meantime the viewers are probably getting headaches by just watching the commercial. Since the ad only has one sentence repeated, it of course gets stuck in everybody’s head. Whenever I see this commercial, this short sentence gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

I don't personally dislike one certain commercial, but if any commercial good or bad is repeated enough times it drives me up the wall. I'm sitting there like yes I know you want clean skin and no pimples, but showing 5 different Proactiv commercials one after another is very infuriating. Also I don't really like any of the commercials with a jingle, because they always get stuck in my head and sometimes I even write out the jingle while i'm doing a writing assignment because it's just so ingrained into my head. Let me tell you writing 1-800-267-2001 Alarm Force instead of Jacques Cartier was a French explorer is very infuriating. Also on a side not, a commercial that is very weird and creepy is Little Baby's Ice Cream, if you want to piss your pants and sleep with a night light, then go watch it on youtube. :)
A commercial I find is very annoying is the first response pregnancy test. Not only is it said in a really annoying voice that gives me a headache, it comes on every five seconds. In fact, it comes on so often, I can say the whole commercial word by word! It annoys me so much because it plays so often and I always have the commercial stuck in head.
A commercial that annoys me a lot is the commercial for the ink-joy pens it comes on ever two seconds and in the stores the colors are really ugly. The commercial is a big fat lie it does not have any pretty colors it has browns and black and dark green its not a nice sight. I change the channel when ever it comes on because i cant handle it anymore. Even my mom finds it annoying and she watch TV once a week for like half an hour.

Commercials I find the most out of all the other commercials are the "5 Gum" commercials. I find them the most annoying because when I'm on YouTube I always get ads before I watch every video. I also find them very aggravating because its the same one over and over and over again, but when it changes the ad to a different one it changes it to another "5 Gum" ad that they have. I also question it sometimes because why show it so many times when know cares for ads and everyone knows that they are annoying.
The one commercial that drives me absolutely insane is the one for trivago. It's this stupid guy talking in a monotone voice pointing to pictures that pop out of no where. This ad plays about TWICE every commercial break while I watch TV and I honestly wish that guy didn't exist. I at least would have thought that they wouldn't air that ad twice in a row but nope, its happened. Instead of the commercial making want to use trivago I've decided I will never ever use.

The most annoying commercial I have ever watched is probably all of the 5 minute long infomercials. I find them completely useless because nothing that they sell is available in stores so no one is going to waste their time calling in to buy a dumb product that probably doesn't even work. They usually last like 5 minutes and all they do is repeat the same thing over and over again! For example, they usually repeat about 10 times their phone number and about 20 times their "special offers" like a 2 for 1. Pretty much every single infomercial has a special offer like "call in the next 10 minutes and we'll double your offer. A value of $50 is available to you for only $24.99" I find infomercials a huge waste of time and usually end up changing the channel before they finish.
The commercial that I have to say annoys me the most would be those proactive solution commercials. They go on for five minutes about how if you use proactive your skin can look just as amazing as the people's in the commercials and all you have to do is order are product right now.They don't realize that we know of a little thing called photoshop and that no matter how hard you try no product will ever make your skin look like the flawless master piece that photoshop can make it. These commercials are very long and the people in them are very fake. They love to talk with their so called sincere voices that just makes you wish you weren't watching live tv. I have to say I do not like the overall thought of commercials but a five minute commercial filled with phony people and perfect skin is just the cherry on top! -mr. katz I was unable to do this before today do to my eye the doctor told me to rest it so I was not able to look at a computer screen sorry for it being so late.

The person who is announcing the No No is super annoying because he talks like he is the happiest man on earth but he talks about getting rid of embarrassing hair on your body. I mean just the name the No No is super annoying.
ReplyDeleteThe commercial that I find most annoying are the McDonalds summer commercials. McDonalds chooses to advertise their dollar drink days every five seconds during the summer. Those commercials agravate me because when I think McDonalds, I think of a yummy hamburger and at the end of the commercial, it will always end with the same stupid single! "Always a dollar, all summer." This commercial is so annoying, it plays every five seconds and has a stupid jingle.

DeleteThe commercials that irritate me the most are all the infomercials, I find them very irritating. The main reason is because they are just TERRIBLE actors which makes it funny and sad to watch and because the voices of the people and the "narrator" are just irritating. They also last about 2-3 minutes of useless things that no one buys. Especially when they have a jingle that gets stuck in your head for like 2 weeks and you just can’t get it out. Any commercial that has an annoying jingle or bad actors are just so annoying.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! For example, the Slap Chop used to be on pretty much every channel at every commercial break. It seems so unreal how it's effortless for him to use the product but my mom once bought it and returned it the next day. The worst is when there are the hour infomercials during the day so if you’re sick or something and want to watch T.V., you’re stuck watching infomercials.
DeleteThe commercial that absolutely drives me mental is the "truvia commercial" ! It has the most annoying song I have ever heard. And, on top of that it doesn't only play one time every commercial break it plays 3 TIMES! Just to make sure you remember to drink you coffee with truvia instead of chemicals or sugar, they play it once right at the beginning, then in the middle, and to top it off... right at the end. Of course by then, if I was watching a good show I now was punching myself in the face, or I changed the channel. Either way, the commercial would somehow always seem to end up in my brain!
ReplyDeleteI think that the all-time worst advertisement is the HeadOn commercial. It is a fairly old commercial but I still see it sometimes when I go to the United States. This ad is just a person with the product and a voice over saying “HeadOn, apply directly to the forehead” three times, and that is it. This commercial is so irritating and every time I see it come on, I block my ears or change the channel. The commercial is so poorly done and has no description of the product that is being sold, except that is has to be applied directly to the forehead. This product is supposed to help cure headaches but in the meantime the viewers are probably getting headaches by just watching the commercial. Since the ad only has one sentence repeated, it of course gets stuck in everybody’s head. Whenever I see this commercial, this short sentence gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

DeleteI don't personally dislike one certain commercial, but if any commercial good or bad is repeated enough times it drives me up the wall. I'm sitting there like yes I know you want clean skin and no pimples, but showing 5 different Proactiv commercials one after another is very infuriating. Also I don't really like any of the commercials with a jingle, because they always get stuck in my head and sometimes I even write out the jingle while i'm doing a writing assignment because it's just so ingrained into my head. Let me tell you writing 1-800-267-2001 Alarm Force instead of Jacques Cartier was a French explorer is very infuriating. Also on a side not, a commercial that is very weird and creepy is Little Baby's Ice Cream, if you want to piss your pants and sleep with a night light, then go watch it on youtube. :)
ReplyDeleteA commercial I find is very annoying is the first response pregnancy test. Not only is it said in a really annoying voice that gives me a headache, it comes on every five seconds. In fact, it comes on so often, I can say the whole commercial word by word! It annoys me so much because it plays so often and I always have the commercial stuck in head.
ReplyDeleteA commercial that annoys me a lot is the commercial for the ink-joy pens it comes on ever two seconds and in the stores the colors are really ugly. The commercial is a big fat lie it does not have any pretty colors it has browns and black and dark green its not a nice sight. I change the channel when ever it comes on because i cant handle it anymore. Even my mom finds it annoying and she watch TV once a week for like half an hour.

DeleteCommercials I find the most out of all the other commercials are the "5 Gum" commercials. I find them the most annoying because when I'm on YouTube I always get ads before I watch every video. I also find them very aggravating because its the same one over and over and over again, but when it changes the ad to a different one it changes it to another "5 Gum" ad that they have. I also question it sometimes because why show it so many times when know cares for ads and everyone knows that they are annoying.
ReplyDeleteThe one commercial that drives me absolutely insane is the one for trivago. It's this stupid guy talking in a monotone voice pointing to pictures that pop out of no where. This ad plays about TWICE every commercial break while I watch TV and I honestly wish that guy didn't exist. I at least would have thought that they wouldn't air that ad twice in a row but nope, its happened. Instead of the commercial making want to use trivago I've decided I will never ever use.

DeleteThose commercials annoy me so much too! He has no tone variation in his voice which makes for a completely boring and dull commercial. It is so rare that I make it through the whole commercial without changing the channel!
DeleteThe most annoying commercial I have ever watched is probably all of the 5 minute long infomercials. I find them completely useless because nothing that they sell is available in stores so no one is going to waste their time calling in to buy a dumb product that probably doesn't even work. They usually last like 5 minutes and all they do is repeat the same thing over and over again! For example, they usually repeat about 10 times their phone number and about 20 times their "special offers" like a 2 for 1. Pretty much every single infomercial has a special offer like "call in the next 10 minutes and we'll double your offer. A value of $50 is available to you for only $24.99" I find infomercials a huge waste of time and usually end up changing the channel before they finish.
ReplyDeleteThe commercial that I have to say annoys me the most would be those proactive solution commercials. They go on for five minutes about how if you use proactive your skin can look just as amazing as the people's in the commercials and all you have to do is order are product right now.They don't realize that we know of a little thing called photoshop and that no matter how hard you try no product will ever make your skin look like the flawless master piece that photoshop can make it. These commercials are very long and the people in them are very fake. They love to talk with their so called sincere voices that just makes you wish you weren't watching live tv. I have to say I do not like the overall thought of commercials but a five minute commercial filled with phony people and perfect skin is just the cherry on top!

I think the most annoying commercial I have seen, has to be the Sham Wow commercial. I do not know what is more annoying about it, it is either when he keeps on repeating the exact same thing or when he keeps on showing the exact same thing. For example when he tells you the price, he repeats it about 10 times in a row, to get it stuck in your head. I think the worst part about it is that the commercial is about five minutes long.
