Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, we need to remember to be thankful for what we have and thankful for who we are surrounded by.
For this blog, take a selfie with someone you feel deserves a BIG THANK YOU!

Have fun.
The person that deserves a big thank you in my life is my nana. My nana lives in a senior home so I only get to see her once every two weeks, so when I do see her it is that much more special! This woman is amazing! She is 78 and still going strong, she never gives up or takes no as an answer. She inspires me with everything she does. There is also a humorous side to my nana. She is from Trinidad so she has an unorthodox accent that never fails to make me laugh every time I see her. She also has the strangest way to say things, instead of saying 'just got to go wash my hands', her words of choice were "time to go wash the paws". Her strange personality lifts my spirits whenever I'm around her. Every time I'm around my nana I have a huge smile on her face, and so does she. That fact that she's happy makes me happy! I wish I could tell her everyday how thankful I am for her, but I can't so that is why I chose to write this blog about her!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet!!! Your nana sounds like an amazing and funny person. It's so nice of you to call her an inspiration and that you look up to her. I hope she reads your blog because it's the nicest thing!!!
DeleteI know how much your nana means to you and from all that you have told me she sound like a really amassing person with a great sense of humour. she is luck to have you as a granddaughter!
DeleteI would like to say thanks to my little sister Ella. Everyday she makes my life so much more exciting and fun than it ever would be. Having a crazy younger sister was the best news I ever got 7 years ago. Even though she is a huge pain in the butt sometimes and she annoys me to death I honestly could not see this world without her. She has the craziest and most bubbly personality, she also never stops talking! I am so happy and honored to be her older sister and her role model. I love her to death and thank her for making my life so much happier and making me laugh so hard that my stomach starts to hurt.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU ELLA <3
Yep little sisters are great! It is very touching how much you love your sister and how you said that your life is better because of her. I also have a younger sister and believe me she can be a pain in the butt too. But at the end of the day I love her just like you and your sister Ella!
DeleteThat is so sweet of you Grace. It must be awesome to have someone who looks up to you and being thankful for her is just so nice. She is so adorable and it's great how much you love each other!
DeleteBoth of my parents definitely deserve a HUGE thank you! Looking back on this Thanksgiving I realize that I have a lot to be thankful for, but it all wouldn’t have been possible without my parents. In their own ways they both make my life so much better and help me a lot without even realizing it. First of all, my dad: he is in charge of my sports (a.k.a) soccer. He drives me to countless soccer games, practices, tournaments and tryouts while barely missing one. He also photographs my games and he even created a web site for my team and I! Beyond that my dad pushes me in all aspects of life, from academic to sports he is always there. But never in a negative way, he always inspires me to do my best, be happy with what I am doing and to be thankful with what I have. Because if not then what’s the point? Next my mom: I can’t even put in to words how much she does. She makes my lunches, wakes me up, takes care of me when I am sick, buys me clothes an sometimes (if I’m lucky) has a TLC marathon with me. She does all of that and more without ever complaining. Well almost never, she gets quite upset when I don’t clean my room. But I love her anyways ☺! My mom and my dad have shaped me into the person that I am today and I couldn’t be more grateful.
ReplyDeleteI agree your mom and dad both deserve a huge thank you!! It's so nice of them to do all those things for you!
DeleteNow that I am getting older, I'm starting to understand the true meaning of thanksgiving. I owe my mum a Massive thank you for everything that she has done for me. Whether it's making me dinner or saying "I love you" I can't thank her enough for all the love and support she has been giving me my whole life. She is always there for me no matter what. Taking care of me could be a huge pain sometimes, but she manages to do it without a struggle. She knows how to make me feel better when I am sad or angry. We do have arguments, sometimes over stupid things, but I still love her and nothing will ever change that.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you and your mom have a really good relationship! My mom is also there for me in any circumstances, and I don't know what I would do without her.
DeleteSomeone who’s apart of my life that I am very thankful for is my mom. She is always there for me no matter what. I think that I don’t always see how important and loving she is toward me. But when I look at all the things she has done I feel very thankful and give her props to that. People get mad at their parents all the time because they don’t get them the new laptop or let them go to that party they wanted to go to but our parents love us very much and we don’t always give them the credits they deserve. My mom always gets me nice clothes, helps me with my homework, makes food for me, loves me, cares about me, helps me with problems I have, makes me laugh and many other things. There are many things to be thankful about but I choose her as my main one. So thank you mom:)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you Bethany. Kids sometimes disregard their mothers not realising how much they do, and how much we should be thankful for them. I like how you said we don't always give them the credits they deserve, because it's very true and we usually just think about ourselves!

ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of people I am so thankful and grateful to. But one of the most important to me, is definitely my best friend Amelia Gauthier. She is the girl that is always there for me no matter what, and she listens to my problems, makes me laugh and feel better. We've known each other for 7 years, and through out every one of them, we've been tight like glue. I'm thankful for her presence in my life, her ability to make ME able to trust her, her funny jokes and smiles, and simply her energy. We spend all of our time together and I'd definitely be miserable without her.
DeleteIf I had to pick someone to thank in my life I would pick my brother. Even if we argue half of the time that we’re together he still makes my life a lot more entertaining. Almost every single day at the dinner table we’re either having laugh attacks and driving my parents nuts or playing tricks on each other. If I didn’t have a sibling I personally think that my life would be super boring. He may drive me nuts at times but I do the same to him so it’s all good.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. While it is true that siblings can be annoying sometimes, not having a sibling would definitely make my life more boring, so I too am grateful for the company of my brother.
Deletethats so cute! thats exactly how me and my siblings are also! we fight half the time but we are also there for each other
DeleteSomeone that I am grateful for in my life, is my mum. She is always looks out for me whether I like it or not. She always supports me and she is always there to talk to. I don't always see how important the things she does for me are, but when I do, I really appreciate them. Without her, I don't know what I would do sometimes. We don't always get along as most parents and their children do sometimes. All in all I am very thankful for all she has done for me and it wouldn't be the same without her by my side.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many amazing people I’d like to thank for everything they do for me, but if there were one person in particular who I am very grateful to have in my life it would be my mother. She has always been there for me and is such a kind, strong and intelligent role model. I can’t thank her enough for all the big things like vacations and even the small everyday things she does for me, like driving me everywhere, helping me with my homework and cooking some delicious meals. It’s very difficult to explain how appreciative I am for everything she does for me and what she means to me, so from the bottom of my heart I’d just like to say, THANKS MOM!
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet! It's really sweet that you said that words just aren't good enough to describe how you feel. I hope that she reads this blog because its really meaningful!
DeleteMy brother, yes he can be a royal pain but, for me he is the best brother ever. Of course he can be annoying at times like all other siblings can, and I’m sure he thinks the same exact things about me. That’s besides the point that we have had the most fun together that anyone has ever had. For me the best times are all those silly times where we would just look at each other and burst into laughter for no reason at all! Those are the best memories and I want to thank him for those good times and let’s hope they keep on coming for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI dont have a brother but i know what you mean.
DeleteI know that exact feeling. Brothers can be a pain but they can also be a lot of fun
DeleteOther than my parents, who I am so thankful for, i am also very happy to have my older sister Emma. We fight a lot but i do not know what i would do without her. I am very thankful to have such a good role model in my life. She always makes me laugh and always pushes me to be the best version of myself i can be! I cannot imagine being an only sibling because she makes all the boring family gatherings and vacations fun (not that I don't love the rest of my family)!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean! I have three older brothers that are always there for me and can always cheer me up and make me laugh. I don't know what I would do either if I did not have them in my life.
DeleteSomeone that i am incredibly thankful for is my dad. My dad is a really thoughtful, kind person and honestly the best dad in the world. He is always there for me no matter what and a perfect example of this is yesterday. I was at school and felt very sick and he told me that he was in a meeting and he would come pick me up right after. Fifteen minutes later, he was at the school office. I asked him about it and he said that he was missing his meeting but it was well worth it. I was and am incredibly grateful for this. I also have many traditions with him and my sisters. Overall, I just have a really good relationship with my dad and that is something i really am truly thankful for.
ReplyDeleteOther than my family, I’m really thankful for one of my best friends Hailey who moved to Newfoundland about a year ago. Even though we aren’t nice to each other 99% of the time and we get each other so annoyed, we are always there for each other. Whenever I’m in a bad mood or I have to talk about something, she’s always there for me and gives me the best advice. We text all the time and I feel like the main reason why we’re mean to each other is because we live so far away that we cannot hurt each other, and it’s our way of telling each other that we love each other even though we don’t admit it. We’ve known each other for only 5 years and we became close as soon as we met. But, to be honest, I’m kind of happy she moved because if she didn’t, then we wouldn’t have gotten as close as we are now and I don’t even know how she puts up with me and that’s why I’m thankful for her.
ReplyDeleteOne of the people that I'm really thankful for is my mother. She is like superwoman and she does so much for my family and I. I'll probably be writing a list of more than 200 things that she does but basically, she feeds me, she picks me up and drops me everywhere I need to go and she helps me with all my problem or when I'm having a bad day. I love her to death and without her, I wouldn't last one day. I'm so thankful for the things she does for us and I help her as much as I can with my brothers and just something simple like breakfast in the morning. I hope I grow up to be a strong woman just like she is.

DeleteThe person that I think deserves a big thank you isn’t even a person; it’s my dog Jack. My dog is a male eight-year-old Golden Retriever. Everyone knows that Goldens are the happiest looking dogs ever and this couldn’t be truer. I’m thanking Jack because whenever life gets me down I just look at him with his dumb smile and it makes me happy he is always there for me. He has to be the weirdest dog too to fit into my family.

The one person that I’m really thankful for is my big sister. She is 18 and quite annoying, moody, and just a pain for me. Yet at the same time I don't know what I would do without her. I know that she is the one person who will always watch my back no matter what. I am incredibly thankful for my parents and all, but my sister and I really share a great relationship and I am truly thankful for that.
ReplyDeleteThe person I'm thankful for is my mom. We get in fights too many times too count but I still love her. When I'm sick she always takes care of me and when I need to talk she's there. She's the most important person because she has taken care of of me since the beginning, and i wouldn't let anyone else do it. she provided me with everything I have and I'm thankful. All she wants in return is for me to do chores but I'm really bad at that obviously.
ReplyDeleteThe people I am most thankful for are my parents. Without them, I wouldn't be fortunate to have the life I currently live. They make sure I'm always healthy and if I'm ever sick they are always there for me and have always taken care of me. My parents are my biggest support as well. Last year, I got cut from my soccer team that I played on for three years and they cheered me up and told me that I can always try again next year. All that I was able to think of was the disadvantages of leaving my team but my parents told me of all the positive things that come with this and that I will have experiences like this in the future and that everything will turn out okay. They also support me with school. When I do badly on tests, they don't bring me down but tell me that they know I can do better next time. They help me with my problems and are always willing to listen. My parents and the rest of my family mean the world to me and that's why I chose them for my blog.
ReplyDeleteI completly agree. My parents are always there for me too and I think that having someone who really supports you is very important.
DeleteI think that someone who deserves a big thanks in my life, is my mother. Even though sometimes we do not agree with each other, I still love her. My mother has always been there for me, no matter what happens we always forgive each other. I remember when I was younger, I would get sick very often, even though I would be in such a bad mood she would still make me feel like a was fine, from making me soup, to going to the store and buying a movie for me to watch.
ReplyDeleteThe one person that I am very thankful for is my mom. Throughout the good times and the bad times she has always been there for me. She drives me EVERYWHERE and I am very grateful for that. We sometimes fight since we both have very stubborn personalities. Although, in the end we always agree to a compromise and we never stay too mad at each other. She also cooks supper for me every night or at least most nights and when I get bad grades she is always very understanding. THANKS MOM!

ReplyDeleteSomeone I am very thankful for is my grandmother. I am very thankful for her being in my life and how close we are. She only lives 30 mins away so we get to see her quite often and I'm so glad about that! Although, I am especially thankful for her right now because of how much she's helped me over the past few months. Together, we were planning a surprise party for my parents and she helped me tremendously with all everything. All went according to plan and the surprise was a great succes. I could never have done it without her and I am so greatly to have her in my life. Unfortunately, this past Thanksgiving she was sick and was unable to attend our big family feast so we came up with the idea of celebrating the American Thanksgiving with her. I am looking forward to celebrating this amazing holiday holiday with her because she truly deserves it! THANK YOU MA!

I'm grateful for one of my best friends Liane. She is so amazing. We are both in love with the same shows on Netflix which we watch way too much of. And we have never gotten in a fight. One time we both thought the other was mad so we weren't talking at first but by the end of the day we just started talking to each other again. She never judges the crazy things I do because she is always right there with me. We get along so easily and we never stop having things to say. We end up talking for hours after school. We have only ever had math together once but it was so much fun because our teacher was kind of nerdy and we would laugh at him a lot. To make a long story short I'm thankful for one of my best friends.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to give a great big thank you to my dad. He has always been there for me. Since I have two older since with a big age gap from me , my dad would always be the one to play games with me when I was younger and teach me how to play sports. He even taught me a bit of Italian. My mom would also be there for me but she's a nurse and works weird hours so she isn't always home. So I'd like to say thank you Dad for making sure I turned out okay. :p Even though my dad goes on a lot of business trips for sometimes up to three weeks, he is still one of the most important people in my life and someone who has had the biggest influence on me. Thanks Dad!
ReplyDeleteThis thanksgiving I am very thankfull for my siblings. I am the youngest of four kids and I am very thankfull for that. Being the youngest comes with the good and the bad but, I would not want to have it any other way! Although I am the first to admit that it can be very frustrating when my three siblings decide to become my parents. So lucky for me I end up having five parents instead of two!Even though they can own my nerves they still manage to teach me something new everyday. They are all my role models and my goal in life is too become just like the three of them when I am older. They have helped me become the person I am today and I don't know what I would do without them! So thank you kellie, Kayla and josh<33

My brother Thomas who is 11 years old deserves a huge thank you! He has always been there for me and can relate to everything I go through. This year we were both cut from our high level hockey teams and were both very upset about it. He acted like a man and helped me out telling me I was going to be great on my new team. I love him so much! I really dont know how he's become so wise!
